Standing before a crowded auditorium of the US military’s senior officers, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth vowed that the Defense Department could not “go another day without directly addressing the plank in our own eye,” in reference to what he called “social justice, politically correct, and toxic ideological garbage.”
