Ask HN: How to Claude Like Anthropichttps://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=49396175I just received an email from Anthropic. Besides the usual new feature ad, there is a piece that I find quite amusing:> How to Claude like Anthropic> "My daily driver currently looks like: two lead agents that keep each other accountable and restart the other if either fails. These delegate to tech lead or PM agents for the 8-10 projects I'm running at any one time, and each project has 5-10 IC agents, generalists or specialists depending on the problem. Across all of these I'm still only doing 30-50 prompts per day, and my IC agents typically work autonomously for 2-3 days. About 60% of my interaction is with the leads, 35% with a project lead, and 5% is when something has gone off the rails. All of these agents communicate directly with the SendMessage tool."> – Daisy, Engineer on Claude CodeThis sounds very foreign to me because it couldn't be more different from how I use Claude Code. My current workflow is:- For a new feature, I create a session, and depending on the complexity, I

Ask HN: Should we stop "correcting" AI writing so it improves English for us?https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=49391188For example, AI writing often puts an "or" at the list of items because that is more logical in some contexts.Changing it to "and" would make it sound more natural, but it would be less logical.Keeping it as "or" may make it standard usage over time, even when people are not using AI to write. What do you think? Should people stop "correcting" AI writing when it is actually more logical?

Show HN: Investment Bets – A performance tracker for market betshttps://investment-bets.comI've long been an index-investing type of person, but sometime last year I started making some side bets, especially in tech (some inspired by WSB). Since I was also sharing some of them with like-minded friends, I thought about simplifying this whole process. This is how Investment Bets came about: you pick a ticker, a direction and optionally a target date. From there, the site tracks your bet for as long as you keep it open (or until the target date), and you can always see the % gain/loss.The entry and exit prices are fetched automatically by the server at the respective times, so you can trust that a bet you see was legit and not just a self-report. The obvious downside is that you have to open/close them ASAP if you want to track your actual trades, but so far I haven't found that to be a problem. All the performance is tracked as percentages and all sizing is always equal, in order to focus on performance and make it easier to share without the sizing awkwardness. Ask HN: How to engage users in an open source project and when to stop?https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=49377336I have been working on an OS project for years now, on and off, taking it back up for the last few months and giving it a good boost lately with AI. It has a super niche user base in quantitative finance.I really enjoy working on it, and although I get contacted every now and then by people who are using it or are interested in using it, and those are really interesting users, I always think I am wasting my time. It has been 8 years now since I started.I guess my questions are: is it worth it? And I know this question has two clear paths, the personal and the practical one, but I would like to hear from both. How can I know when to stop? If my audience is maybe in the order of two thousand potential users worldwide, how do I validate the idea? I have posted on Reddit and HN multiple times, tried LinkedIn, and that leads me to a handful of super interesting contacts, but I don't know if it is enough to keep going.

Show HN: Bisecto – A minimalist game about cutting shapes into 50/50 halveshttps://bisecto.com/Hey HN,I built Bisecto (https://bisecto.com), a minimalist browser game with one simple mechanic, cutting (bisecting) a procedural 2D shape into two exact 50/50 halves with a single straight line.Confession: I got completely hooked watching those viral reels of people trying to cut fruits and vegetables into perfectly equal halves, and that was my inspiration for this game :D I've been writing code for 12+ years, but for this project I leaned heavily on LLMs to quickly spin up this game, I thought it's going to be quick, but it took me some time (around 2 weeks) to make the game the way I want it to be.A few game modes to try: - Classic: Endless run, you get to choose difficulty and line cutting mode- Arcade mode: You get 3 lives, you have to keep accuracy above 95%.- Daily challenge: A shared daily seed, 10 identical shapes for everyone, see how you rank.- Friends challenges: Create a challenge and send it to your friends and see who is better at cutting shapes in half.Under the hood:

(WMBD/WYZZ) — There’s momentum in Tremont. And the Turs football team hopes to keep it going. Last year’s team snapped a 20-game losing streak and won a pair of games for the first time in three years. That may not sound like much, but when you haven’t won a football game in three […]

Show HN: Dispositio – a TUI project planner that stores plans as plain Markdownhttps://systemist.net/tools/dispositioHi all! Wanted to show you guys Dispositio, a project planning TUI that saves projects to simple markdown.I always have a ton of solo projects cooking, and in the past organized and planned them in increasingly complex `ROADMAP.md` files. After working with bubbletea on another project, and after constantly manually calculating its delivery dates for myself (as my bandwidth was quite limited at the time), I realized it would be cool to combine the two!The result is Dispositio, a tool which:- Tracks milestones, set estimated durations, rearrange and modify easily, and see the estimated timeline of the whole thing (measured in weeks for now; can add sprints or other metrics later if people want it) - Lets you set up tasks and subtasks right in it (added because I found it very handy to just keep my todos right here, one per project) - Handles overdue items etc - Helps you know how many days you get on average per milestone task in order to stay on task - Saves to plain markdown so you ca

"As long as they keep working and keep doing what we ask them to do, we would certainly predict they will get faster and stronger." Show HN: Dotproject – The project state standard for AI agents and humanshttps://github.com/jasonnam/dotprojectWe are already getting too slow to micromanage agents on individual features.Trying to review and steer every tiny task is quickly becoming the main bottleneck. Managing at the milestone and goal level still feels like something humans can realistically keep up with—at least for now...I built the dotproject skill around this idea. Curious how others here are structuring agent workflows as execution speeds keep outpacing human oversight.Theoretically, once goals and milestones are defined and enough AI agents are attached, we should be able to track and drive progress toward them in real time.

Lampard led the Sky Blues back to the Premier League for the first time in 25 years by winning the Championship last season, a year on from play-off heartbreak.
