Show HN: Asking – A simpler customer support inbox for small teamsHi HN — I’m William, a frontend engineer from Brazil, and for the past few months I’ve been building Asking.Asking brings customer conversations from different channels into one place. It is intended for small teams that need a proper support workflow but don’t want the cost and complexity that usually come with larger platforms. To be transparent, Asking is built on top of Chatwoot. I’m not trying to present its messaging infrastructure as something I created from scratch. I’m using it as a foundation and building a more opinionated product around it, with simpler onboarding, inbox configuration, subscriptions, email setup, and a less overwhelming experience overall. The project started with a question: how much customer support software does a small business actually need? Many products are initially simple, but become expensive as the team grows. Others provide every feature imaginable, but require small companies to adopt workflows and concepts they may never need. With Asking, I’m try

Show HN: Propose and Dual-Control for DNS ChangesHey, Hacker News. I just want to pick your brain for a feature we're working on.I don't know whether you have seen this as a pain point, but when I work in a company, a lot of times I try to launch something and need to change a DNS record. It's always a source of friction in the organization. I have to email someone or give a link to a co-worker. They have to figure out how to do it, but also whether I have a business justification for doing it.So, when we built this platform, we're trying to come up with a feature that makes it easier. Someone can send you a proposal for DNS record updates. Our system will take the instructions, whether they come from a website, copy and paste, email, or Slack. Anything put in here becomes a proposal for a DNS change, and then someone can approve it.In addition, we believe that for sensitive DNS record changes, it is good to treat them like a bank transfer. So we are building a new feature for dual control, two-person control, or multi-person control o

Show HN: I built a SaaS without knowing how to code – am I an idiot? It's called learnfrom.co, a platform for creating, hosting and selling online courses.I started building it because I wanted to solve a problem I had with existing course platforms. I kept running into things I wanted to change, so I started building them myself. The problem: I wasn't really a software engineer.Instead, I started using AI to build the product. I'd describe what I wanted, let it write the code, test it, fix things when they broke, and repeat. That somehow turned into a real product. LearnFrom is now used by 100+ creators and businesses, with real students and real payments going through it.And that's where I'm starting to get uncomfortable."It works" and "it's well engineered" are obviously not the same thing. So I'm bringing it to HN to find out how much trouble I'm actually in.If you were reviewing this before I'd let more customers depend on it, what would you look for first?Security? Authentication? Authorization? Data isolation? Payments? Architecture? Performance? AI
