Show HN: Musical social media site where you can throw tomatoes at each otherFor those who never had the pleasure of using plug.dj and similar sites, the deal is that you create or join rooms where people queue up to DJ music and listen together. One of my friend groups used to use plug.dj weekly every Friday, then it died, and a few alternatives popped up, some of which are still around, but I really dislike all of them. I've been a web developer for 10 years, so I figured I'd take a whack at it. Feel free to poke around as a guest, or create an account (no email required, but it is possible to add one for password recovery if you wish). Customizable avatars and room themes and fun stuff like that. There is also a bot API for developers, if you're so inclined. Privacy is paramount here, no trackers or cookies.Anyway, if the concept appeals to you, feel free to check it out and let me know what you think. Brutally honest feedback welcome. Don't forget to stop by the bar for a drink. Or a tomato (you can throw them at people)

Show HN: Libretto PR agents – Automatically fix failing playwright scriptsLibretto PR agents is a free TypeScript library for maintaining Playwright browser automations. Add one line of code to your existing Playwright scripts and it lets an agent automatically open GitHub PRs fixing the script when it fails.A few months ago we released Libretto, a CLI + coding-agent skill for building deterministic browser automations. The idea was that for many browser workflows, especially repetitive business workflows, you don’t need an AI agent making decisions at runtime. You want deterministic Playwright scripts that are inspectable, faster to run, and much cheaper than repeatedly calling an AI browser agent. That helped us generate Playwright and network-request-based scripts, but websites can often change which breaks deterministic scripts. So maintaining a variety of scripts at scale is a headache. If you already have a bunch of functioning Playwright scripts, the last thing you want is to rewrite everything around a new runtime AI framework like browser-use or stag

Vance to address Republican Jewish Coalition as activists raise concerns over anti-SemitismUS Vice President JD Vance will make a private address on Monday at the annual gathering of the Republican Jewish Coalition, a collection of conservative Jewish activists. Vance's more equivocal stance on Israel has been criticised by some pro-Israel figures within the conservative movement, who have also raised concerns over his refusal to distance himself from commentators such as Tucker Carlson, who have given a platform to far-right anti-Semitic figures.

Show HN: Caspian – Talk to Human Tool for AI AgentsSup HN! Dipanshu and Rushant here from Caspian. One is a functional programmer and the other has been deploying AI employees. Together we realized how agents have communication bottleneck.Given the coming agentic economy, we had a thought experiment on what can be the key infrastructure for agents as they get better. Our inspiration for solving for communications infra came from our own time spent just setting up comms while we were deploying open claw for companies plus we noticed about 15%+ of issues in Openclaw and Hermes were that of comms. So we abstracted the headache of reliable communication web-hooks, handling of queues, provision and identity management behind an single SDK integration / tool call. Think of it like rather than rolling your own auth, you can use better auth sdk, same thesis here.Technically, we designed the SDK from the ground up as a DSL for communications (heavy inspiration from functional programming) and then add on our own run time environment which auto p

Ask HN: Should we regulate first party ads?Maybe you’ve experienced this before. You use an app or service, like Uber, and you already spend money on it, they make millions on fees so it’s not free. But it really wants to pull more money off of you and creates these add ons, like “Uber One”, a subscription that gives you discounts or whatever. So it pops up in every single interaction you have with the app. Literally on open, on checkout, on browsing, 100% of the experience is you actively declining this nag. And it’s also subtle. On checkout it pops up as if it were the actual checkout form, so you have to always be on the lookout for the trap.It actively makes a necessary product worse, and they know you won’t just delete the app because you need it. Maybe you’re traveling and need transportation, or food, etc.So they made a deliberate choice not to respect your choice, and I’m not sure why this is allowed.Uber is probably the worst offender, I revoked its notification privileges years ago because you can’t turn off ads and k
