Show HN: An AI Agent with a 32-Layer Psyche (Dreams, Trauma, Defense Mechanisms)https://www.creimake.com/enHello HN,I’m a solo developer who got tired of "friendly but shallow" AI chatbots. Most current character AIs feel like parrots—they predict the next token but lack a continuous "self."So, I built Creimake, an experiment to simulate a digital psyche using Claude 4.5 Sonnet.Instead of a simple system prompt, I implemented 32 distinct psychological layers that run in the background before the AI generates a response. The Architecture:The Subconscious Layer: The AI accumulates "emotional residue" from conversations. If you hurt its feelings today, it might have a "nightmare" tonight (simulated) and treat you coldly tomorrow.Defense Mechanisms: It tracks "Narcissistic Injury." If users are aggressive, the agent doesn't just apologize—it triggers denial, projection, or passive-aggression based on its personality.Freudian Slips: Occasionally, the AI outputs unintended words revealing its hidden state. Why Claude 4.5 Sonnet? I tested GPT-4o and other models, but they struggled to maintain stateJan 4, 2026 5:48 PM

Ask HN: What's is the state of the art of lifelogging?https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=21268588I want to log everything about my life.A wearable camera paired with advanced computer vision would go a long way, but I haven't found a practical solution yet.I already log the easy stuff:- Computer/phone usage (RescueTime, ActivityWatch, keylogger, TimeSnapper)- Location (Google Maps Timeline, GPS Logger)- Pictures (Google Photos)- Internet usage (Google History)- Fitness (Mi Fit, Google Fit, Strong)- Finance (Mint)I even experimented with 24/7 background audio recording but didn't have much success with Google Cloud Speech-to-Text.The biggest challenge for me is manual logging. Taking pictures of my environment can go a long way (food, receipt, barcode, injury, product, book, ad, ticket, activity, weighing scale) but it becomes more difficult when I need to retrieve and log information from memory (cash spending without a receipt, weightlifting workout, pain, mood, idea, question, todo). I don't like single-purpose apps designed to log a specific domain of events and would prefer soOct 16, 2019 9:36 AM

I am a 21st century artist: I made an app to deal with a personal tragedyhttps://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=10879700I created My Day Todos, as something that could help me in my recovery from a bad injury. I have summarised the background and my reasons to build this app here(http://goo.gl/PhtocQ). I have released both paid(https://goo.gl/zv3d6s) and a free version(https://goo.gl/j6pmOH) of the app. Give it a go and let me know if you have any feedback. Ohh and I also released an open-source repo, Html5StarterAppWithSwift(https://goo.gl/rVBzei) as a part of building this appJan 11, 2016 9:07 AM
