But the reason I'm posting it here is the build constraint: there are no asset files at all. No textures, no audio files, no 3-D models, no fonts.Everything is generated in code:- Terrain is fractal-noise (fbm) heightmaps rendered as a GPU triangle mesh, height-banded and slope-shaded, that composites with a hand-built 2-D HUD and gets blit-upscaled nearest-neighbour for the pixelated look. - Ships & buildings are flat-shaded low-poly hulls, a handful of triangles each. - Music & SFX come from a from-scratch synth (square/saw/triangle/noise/rumble voices plus a Karplus-Strong plucked string, with envelopes, overdrive and a limiter). The title theme is an original generative build. - Radio comms are speech rendered offline and band-pass-filtered into a crackly cockpit-radio timbre, with squelch and roger bleeps. - Fonts are a 5×7 bitmap for the HUD plus a Core Text rasteriser.The

A lot of people asked about the memory system so here's that.## The ProblemStarted with a JSONL fact store and embedding similarity retrieval. Simple enough until it wasn't. After a few weeks of real use I had 14 near-duplicate facts about the same topics from different sessions. Layered dedup on top of dedup and it still wasn't clean.The bigger problem was relationships. "Peter works at DevMesh" and "DevMesh is building an outreach platform" were two separate embeddings. You could retrieve each one but you couldn't traverse from one to the other. No multi-hop. No fact evolution. Old facts and new facts coexisted with no signal about which was current.Four iterations on the flat store later I accepted

I understand why this was necessary for flat paper maps and paper navigation but on the internet, web maps should be able to dynamically adjust based on viewing tangent. The true relative size would be as if you’re looking at a globe map and your sightline is tangent to the curve of the globe.

Maybe a payment service will for free tell us that the user submitted a valid CC, and what the name on the card is. Or, less desireably, maybe we can charge a dollar or nickel to the card for signup fee, just to cover the verification (though the "whoa, this isn't totally free?!" reaction might cost us too many signups).* Phone N
