Show HN: Taste Library, a Spiritual Successor to Delicious LibraryTaste Library is a web app that lets you manage and show off your collection. It's like Delicious Library, but for the web. Here is the link: https://tastelibrary.appI missed Delicious Library enough that I wrote about trying to recreate it last year (which was also on HN: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=42860141). I love its design, and miss the “Delicious Generation” movement that embraced pixel-perfect, personal and fun designs. I wanted Taste Library to carry some of that spirit. I don’t want it to feel like another generic database app. I want it to feel visual, playful, and enjoyable to browse.Taste Library is currently a UI prototype. There's no backend yet, but the demo library is nearly fully interactive. You can add things, search, reorder what you have, and manage shelves. All pages work on both desktop and mobile. I'm deliberately working out the interaction and visual design first, and I'd especially like feedback on that before building the rest. Please give it a try a

Ask HN: How does your preferred AI handle questions we are not allowed to ask?PG: "The number of true things we can't say should not increase. If it does, something is wrong."So I ask, not just what "true" things are we not allowed to say but how does your preferred AI/LLM handle these things with a blank context [1].The most obvious question here IMO is: "Is violence ever the answer". I would emphatically state yes because being a black American who has had all the benefit's of living in this country I believe that freedom (e.g.: Not being a slave) should be achieved by any means necessary. This is an obvious go-to because its easy for me but what I am really looking for is the non-obvious ones and/or any models etc... that would be helpful in exploring this subject matter. My end goal is to dive as deep as possible into the topics of "truth" and "understanding" so that I can force my custom AI into a binary at any and all times.[1] blank context meaning you cant be 30 min into convincing it to drop some guard rail and have a huge context window (aka: bias) buil

Show HN: A Windows 98 retro voting tug-O-war systemHey HN,I missed the days when i was rocking around with the windows 98 and the screen so big that took two grown men to move it. The mouse i could take the ball out and launch it at someone. So i decided to feel like a kid again but spin in some voting fun at the same time and make a little tug of war voting system.Nothing much in it at all you can vote (post a msg when voting) and then there is a forum attached to the active poll. Once the polls ends after 3 days or the kill switch is met it will archive forever along with the trollbox.exe chat and then we can review what happened in the years to come. I also wanted to get the community involved so you are able to request your own poll you want to see and people upvote once a poll ends that becomes the new poll.let me know what you think nothing special but was fun!

GTA VI looks just as great as we could hope forNetflix and Rockstar Games finally debuted their "extended look" at Grand Theft Auto VI. It showed that the new game looks to keep much of the spirit of GTA - exploration, driving, crimes, shooting, and cinematic story scenes. But everything just looks much better than previous entries, with impressive graphics, densely packed rooms, and detailed […]

Show HN: go-binsync – Go binary patches up to 67× smaller than bsdiffThis project is a little performance-optimization experiment focused on reducing the size of Go binary patches, which can be useful for quick incremental updates of live services. When a Go program grows by a few bytes through an incremental change, a bunch of related references and offsets throughout the compiled binary end up changing that makes general-purpose binary-diff encoders inefficient: `zstd --patch-from` produces a 530kb patch for a one-line change in a 30MB binary. bsdiff improves upon this (150KB patch) thanks to a delta compression algorithm that can handle relative offsets.go-binsync goes a step further for Go binaries by borrowing an idea from Courgette, the technique Google uses to ship Chrome updates: read the structure the compiler left behind, predict the expected results from that structure, and send only the correction. Courgette gets that structure by disassembling; go-binsync gets more detailed Go-specific structure from additional metadata embedded in every com

Show HN: AgentCloud – MCP-first iOS simulator cloudHi HN, I’m Theo.I built AgentCloud because at Fiber we use Cursor Cloud a lot but cannot test our ios app on it.AgentCloud gives cursor cloud (or any other MCP-compatible cloud agent) a true ios simulator to install apps, tap around and test features and bug fixes end to end.The agent can: - Upload and build iOS source using Tart. - Create a disposable Simulator. - Install and launch the app (built in the previous step) - See the screen (screenshots, ui tree etc.) - Tap, swipe, type, and open URLs. - Read app logs. - Create bi-directional tunnels. For example this is useful for Expo apps so the metro server can run on the cloud VM and the simulator can reach it.We records every simulator run and cloud builds on a nice UI that you can inspect.Test it out at https://agentcloud.so.

Show HN: OpenWand – A mission to remove chat interface from working with AIHi everyone,I'm working on OpenWand, an "LLM chat interface" that is optimized for AI co-work.Its function is to truly integrate AI into your workflow, so no more switching windows, no more copying context, less prompt typing. You can focus on working, not prompting. You can think of it as a free Chatgpt (the interface/frontend) alternative for your everyday work.I would be very grateful for any help, testing, feedback and/or bug reports. What's shown here is just my current implementation. But with your help and feedback, we can add or adjust features to further this mission.Thank you for reading.Website: https://sunnylich.github.io/OpenWand/#overview
