Show HN: Downalytics – Track OSS binary downloads via custom domainsHi HN,I’ve been working on Downalytics (https://www.downalytics.dev), a lightweight tool that helps open-source maintainers and small projects track binary downloads from GitHub releases. You route downloads through a generated or custom domain (via CNAME), and I log metadata like version, arch, OS, and country (where available). Think of it like a minimal redirector with analytics. It’s aimed at projects that publish binaries (e.g., via CLI tools), and want to understand which versions are being used, and where adoption is happening, without needing to host their own infra.Current features: GitHub OAuth to connect repos Tracked download URLs via CNAME or generated subdomain Basic dashboard with counts by version, platform, etc. Free OSS tier, small paid tier for custom domains/more projects A few things I’d love feedback on: Is this something you (or your project) would use? Would you be comfortable routing downloads through a third-party like this? Any blockers that would make you hes

Ask HN: Looking for a Google Maps ContactHi HNers,I am looking for a contact at Google on the Maps / Directions team who can assist with fixing various issues with Googles datasets for Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban.Maps issues for South Africa includes incorrect suburb names on addresses (for example Matroosfontein pulls through for addresses in Delft (official suburb name according to the City of Cape Town Official Suburb names dataset.Editing addresses one by one to fix suburb names to fix issues with geocoding issues takes a few months to go live on the geocoding API.There are also routing issues where Google Maps chooses routes that does not make sense. Also with the directions API it ignores valid routes from areas like Strandfontein instead of going up the M17 (Old Strandfontein Road) instead of the N2.The distance matrix seems to have incorrect distances for addresses where you expect it to go via M17 instead of the N2.

Show HN: Rama 0.2 – Modular Rust framework for proxies, servers, and clientsWe've been working on Rama for over 3 years — it's a modular Rust framework for moving and transforming network packets. It’s already in production at several companies handling terabytes of traffic daily.Rama gives you: - Full control over transport (TCP/UDP), TLS (Rustls/BoringSSL), HTTP routing - User-agent detection fingerprinting (JA3/JA4/JA4H) and emulation - A composable Tower-like service/layer model - Part of the Tokio ecosystem - Lots of built-in services, but easy to extend or replace anythingThis 0.2 release solidifies the core concept. We’re already working on 0.3 (socks5, WebSockets, improvements to our crypto/tls story, removal of `Context` concept, etc.). Learn more about our release cycles in the announcement post.Initial socks5 support is finished since today in main branch, which I believe is the most complete socks5 support within the Rust ecosystem, and similar to the entire rama framework it is there to empower you to execute wherever your creativity drives you (e

Show HN: Humiris – Next-Gen AI Mixture Layer to Build Advanced ApplicationsHi HN, We’re Joel, Louis-Nicolas and Hilario, the founders of Humiris (humiris.ai). Humiris is a next-generation AI infrastructure that lets you build your own model by mixing and optimizing multiple foundation models to achieve high performance, unmatched accuracy , speed, and cost-efficiency.Our platform combines advanced routing, custom reasoning models, and mix tuning to help businesses leverage AI at scale without sacrificing quality or control. Here’s how it works:• Routing Intelligence: Humiris uses a large-scale routing model to automatically select the best LLM based on your objectives (e.g., quality, cost, speed, energy, or privacy).• Custom Reasoning Models: Create mix-models tailored to your needs, combining the strengths of multiple LLMs to outperform any single model based on RL and ML techniques.• Flexibility: Deploy your models via SaaS, private instances, or your infrastructure for full control. Here’s a quick demo: [https://youtu.be/Om1ytDfTg2M].Why did we build this?Af

Launch HN: Maitai (YC S24) – Self-Optimizing LLM PlatformHey HN - this is Christian and Ian from Maitai (https://trymaitai.ai). We're building an LLM platform that optimizes request routing, autocorrects bad responses, and automatically fine-tunes new application-specific models with incremental improvements. Here’s a demo video: https://www.loom.com/share/a2cd9192359840cab5274ccba399bd87?....If you want to try it out, we built a game (https://maitaistreasure.com) to show how our real-time autocorrections work with mission-critical expectations (like never giving financial advice). Try and coax the bot to give you the secret phrase in its system prompt. If you're the first to crack it, you can email us the phrase and win a bounty. Maitai is used to make sure the bot always adheres to our expectations, and thus never gives up the secret phrase. We built Maitai because getting an LLM app into production and maintaining it is a slog. Teams spend most of their time on LLM reliability rather than their main product. We experienced this ourselves a

Show HN: EnfinBref- {GPT3-5|Mistral-7B} YouTube summaries, segment by segmentA neat (in my opinion) little side-project I've been working on, both to get somewhat basic React skills going, and to work with LLMs on even more cool projects to build. It should work for most major languages and output English summaries (or French summaries, if using the main https://enfinbref.io page instead of the /en/ subpage), no matter the input language.Currently planning on expanding in various directions, including some nice new features like choosing a summary type, better video type identification and LLM routing, and bullet points exec summaries. Pretty basic on functionalities at the moment, and relying on a few tricks. The key stack:- FastAPI + Python backend, with some extra libs for type validation (Pydantic), translation and YouTube transcript fetching. - Chained LLM calls with logic. id video type w/ a light model, break down into segments and sections, parallelise as much as can be, general high level summaries. - Models are a mix of Mistral fine-tune and GPT-3.5, w
