Gmail search can find emails with attachments, but it doesn’t provide a convenient file-based view.So I built a browser extension called Mail Attachment Lens. It lets me search and filter attachments, download files, and move the source emails to Bin. It also helped me uncover quite a few attachments I had completely forgotten about.I decided to publish it in case anyone else finds it useful.It’s free and open source. There’s no backend, so mailbox data stays between the extension and Google.

It works quite well.Underneath, it’s a hosted Pi (:love:) agent runtime, some templates, an Astro renderer, a few widgets, and hosting for a Markdown wiki backed by your GitHub repo.Good example of how i use it is travel planning, since i move quite a bit. It has builtin web search, and a few widgets like checklists and live weather, which makes it useful. Another thing which was quite good is Karpathy proposed workflow of ingesting and cross linking papers.Everything written is commited to your own github repo, so you can take it whenever you want, and you get edit history.I’m not an Obsidian user myself, but pointing Getmana at an existing Obsidian vault seems to mostly just work. So I built a scoreboard that checks: it takes the forecasts each model published (ECMWF, GFS, ICON, AIFS and others, plus Apple Weather, Foreca, OpenWeather and Visual Crossing), waits for the weather to happen, and scores temperature, wind and rain against observations.A few things that surprised me: - AIFS performs very well, yet almost no commercial apps give you access to it or uses it in their blend (I suspect some do without disclosing it tho) - Foreca scores surprisingly well compared to other apps and raw models - ICON is very accurate around the mediterranean, but performs quite poor everywhere elseThere's also a history page that scores each model back through its full archive (about 5 years for GFS) to see if forecasts have actually gotten better.It's a static page and open-source: https://github.com/NickLeenders/verisky-scoreboard. This lets me quickly get up-to-speed and follow links for topics I want to explore in-depth.
