Ask HN: Talk to your users. What is your opinion on an Online Farmers Market?I am working on an online market where people can buy locally grown/sourced fruits, vegetables, eggs, meats, etc., from local farmers. In addition, they can also buy small batch foods from artisanal food makers- breads, cheeses, jams, etc. The goal is to create access and make it convenient for people to order from their local farmers/food crafters, while at the same time allowing these small businesses to expand their online customer base.In the back-end we are working on optimizing delivery routes and inventory management. We have conducted about 300 orders and spoke with customers and non-customers which we consider our end-user, or households. Some of the feedback we have gotten has been insightful. Among some concerns from non-customers is: not being able to touch/see/feel the produce in person. We would love to know the HN community's feedback on:What would make you (or woudln't make you) try something like this? What are some concerns you may have? Pros and cons? Any advice for te

Show HN: Gnoke Station – A WebOS for Industrial and IoT DashboardsWhen you first open Gnoke Station, you're greeted by... well, almost nothing. A clean desktop, a terminal, an app store, desktop settings, and silence. We understand why our previous post led to comments about the minimalism. Our mistake was not making the core architectural intent clear. The empty screen isn't a lack of features—it's the feature. The Philosophy of an Empty Desktop Gnoke Station is a browser-based Web Operating System—a lightweight runtime environment, not a desktop clone. We built it for those who need a modular, minimal canvas they can fully control, specifically in industrial, IoT, and dashboard contexts. The emptiness is a design choice to minimize overhead and maximize extensibility. Instead of wrestling with a bundled, heavy general-purpose OS, the user (or manufacturer) starts with a near-zero state and only loads the components they need. Why Gnoke Station is a WebOS for Makers The core value lies in the architecture, not the initial icons:* Modular for Integrators

Show HN: I made the ultimate pixel art character customization program [video]I'm Jordan, the developer of Top Down Sprite Maker. Like the name suggests, my program is a pixel art character customizer. But wait, there's more! Unlike pretty much every other program in that niche, my program supports multiple "sprite styles", and let's you create and share your own. A "sprite style" combines an art style, supported directions (whether 4, 6, or 8), animations, layers and assembly rules into a cohesive system of character customization. Sprite styles are defined by a single script file and packaged as ZIPs. They can then be shared, uploaded to the program, and immediately used to customize characters and export sprite sheets. The video description has lots of useful resource links as well if you want more information. Thanks for your time. Let me know what you think!
