The people commenting are right to point it out.The problem with the repeated complaining about AI slop is that it makes browsing HN tiring for two reasons: the community is failing to filter low-quality content, and on top of that we end up with a barrage of similar-looking complaints in the comment section.Both of these problems could be solved with one single action: flag articles that are in clear violation of the HN guidelines and move on.The quicker these AI slop articles get flagged, the lower the chance they get to show up in the front-page and the less incentive there will be for vibe-bloggers to push their crap here.Jul 29, 2026 3:48 PM
