Im 18 and building my startup and this is what I feelhttps://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=49398505Hi My name is ritu and ive built an autoML tool. The intention of this post to let people know about my journey because im tired to express my self to chatGPT. I am women in tech, majority of women are in biology , i was about to but i took u turn and chose IT idk why i mean i had PCB in higher secondary and i decided to choose a tech degree so i can build my startup. things are bit frustrating for me because im young, inexperienced, exhausted. People now started glorifying young builders but if you are one of them you know how tense it is for your age. i stay in my room 24/7, no friends, online degree no human exposer, just me my work, study and instagram reels , btw i create content too but as u know late teens you still have those stupid acnes which makes me feel insecure and i just dont shoot my reels its been a month i guess since i last posted, i dont have anyone to talk about whats going on with me , no partner, no friend, feels like a volcano ready to explodes, one of my followAug 22, 2026 11:09 AM

Continue coding agent is dead. Alternatives?https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=49398366It was nice to use on vscode with offline Ollama but today notices it is not updated anymore. So, alternatives you use? From github:"Note: The continuedev/continue repository is no longer actively maintained and is read-only for all users."From continue.dev:"Continue has joined Cursor Continue was acquired by Cursor. Our mission was always to ensure developers are amplified, not automated, and that commitment carries on in the work ahead. It was an honor to build with the Continue community. Thank you to each and every one of you who helped us create a pioneering open-source coding agent. What we built together pushed the boundaries of what AI developer tooling could be, and our open-source codebase remains freely available as a foundation for others."Aug 22, 2026 10:40 AM

Ask HN: How to Claude Like Anthropichttps://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=49396175I just received an email from Anthropic. Besides the usual new feature ad, there is a piece that I find quite amusing:> How to Claude like Anthropic> "My daily driver currently looks like: two lead agents that keep each other accountable and restart the other if either fails. These delegate to tech lead or PM agents for the 8-10 projects I'm running at any one time, and each project has 5-10 IC agents, generalists or specialists depending on the problem. Across all of these I'm still only doing 30-50 prompts per day, and my IC agents typically work autonomously for 2-3 days. About 60% of my interaction is with the leads, 35% with a project lead, and 5% is when something has gone off the rails. All of these agents communicate directly with the SendMessage tool."> – Daisy, Engineer on Claude CodeThis sounds very foreign to me because it couldn't be more different from how I use Claude Code. My current workflow is:- For a new feature, I create a session, and depending on the complexity, IAug 22, 2026 2:54 AM

Show HN: Anjadhe – privacy first AI assistant, no account, no server DBhttps://www.anjadhe.com/demoHi HN, I am Ram. For the last few months I have been building Anjadhe. It is a personal AI assistant for macOS. The main idea is simple: A macOS app where AI does the job of a personal assistant for the user. Not a chat only app where user needs to dig through chats to understand today’s schedule or a project they planned with the ai last week, but a canvas where the user and AI work together around basic tools.I started building this as DYI tool for myself, but at this point I see that its truly useful for me, so sharing with others to see if it can be useful to others too. Here is a quick Demo - https://www.anjadhe.com/demoWhat it can do today:- It reads your incoming email and files the important things: bills with due dates, renewals, receipts, deliveries. A bill becomes a task with a date, by itself. Two booking emails become one trip. - You set goals by talking to it, not by filling forms. It asks you questions, makes a plan with dated tasks. Show HN: OzBrain, a shared brain for knowledge between agents and your teamhttps://ozbrain.comI think agent-first chat interfaces will be a primary software modality and busy dashboard/UI will go away. I’m not sure who exactly wins it, but I want my knowledge to grow/go with me.A lot of the “knowledge” ie research, analysis, reasoning will be done by agents as the primary user. Our current notes tools & tasks management systems were built for humans… I don’t care what the 17th thing on my bug backlog is. I want to conduct agents that can execute for me and do great work. What I built OzBrain to do: + Create a central place for agent reasoned knowledge to live + Be agnostic about what apps/agents connect to it + Capture everything and track it so I can audit it + Enable teams, collaborators or partners to share brains + Handle conflicts so many agents in the same article doesn’t blow up + Refactor knowledge into more token friendly chunks and map the index well + Close the knowledge loop so new thinking supersedes old thinking across the corpus. Don’t erase, depreciate and link +Aug 21, 2026 11:09 PM

Show HN: Traccia - Observability, Runtime Control & Audit for agentshttps://traccia.ai/AI applications are becoming agents, which has started to take autonomous decisions. There are plenty of tools and platform available to trace, and observe what an agent or llms calls does. They are good in what they do, but tracing and observability isnt enough for AI agents era. We need a solution that can help you observe, evaluate, create run time policies to govern and finally audit the actions of the agent. We built Traccia to solve this problem. The good part, all of these can be achieved by just writing few lines of code. Traccia has an open-sourced sdk that can work with your existing observability tool like grafana, tempo, jaeger, etc. In case you need more than just observability, Traccia provides the platform to evaluate, control and audit the agents. The platform is easy to use. The product's documentation is quite extensive. It is also cloud vendor and framework agnostic. Traccia is being built by an Indian start up ,based out of Bengaluru. Show HN: I built an open source video editor that you can control with an LLMhttps://github.com/DonkeyCut/DonkeyHey HN, my name is David. I'm building an open source video editor.I'm a novice at video editing and previously only used iMovie. I recently opened iMovie to edit a video but noticed it didn't have some features I wanted, like text overlays. Apple probably hasn't updated it in ages. How hard could it be to build one? It's actually pretty hard. There are so many basic things that need to get right, like behavior in the timeline, drag and drop, coloring, etc. Good thing there are LLMs. I was able to put out a simple version in 3 days and have continued to refine it ever since. The idea is that it's focused on novice to intermediate video editors. I find modern video editors to be very overwhelming, with lots of features and controls. It's needed because video editing is a creative tool, and not everything can be built into one. So I turned every button, toggle, and slider into a tool that's accessible to an LLM. A user just needs to tell an LLM what to do, and it has access to tools that cAug 21, 2026 5:19 AM

Show HN: PingChange – monitor web pages and OpenAPI specs for meaningful changeshttps://pingchange.comI built PingChange after watching the same thing happen over and over: a competitor prices change, a company policy is updated or important web content changes but there is often no reliable way to track it and know when it happens. The tool monitors web pages and API on a schedule and alerts your team when something meaningful changes. The keyword here is meaningful. Most monitoring tools trigger alerts for everything (ads, timestamps, cookie banners etc) and could be noisy or spam in your inbox. With PingChange, you can give it an instruction e.g "alert me when pricing changes" and it analyzes the page content and only notifies you when the changes matches what you're looking for on the page. Here are the main features:- Visual region selection / HTML element selector for tracking specific location on the page. - Changed diff viewer and screenshot of the pages. - Geolocation support - Monitor URL's from specific location to detect content from different geographies. - Anti-bot resolutiAug 20, 2026 8:51 PM
