I started with a basic filter that blocks HTTP clients that don't support HTTP/2.0, and clients that don't support brotli. To ensure clients don't just spoof brotli support, the root index.html is only available in brotli. I'm planning to add a hidden link to a brotli bomb, since it compresses much better than gzip. A 1GB ASCII repeating sequence compresses to under 1kB. My site has low traffic, under 10k hits per day. With the h2 & br filters active for 2 days, no malicious bot crawlers are getting through.I'd like to increase bot traffic to around 100k hits per day to help test the filters. But after writing the first few instructions (drawing especially), it slowly became almost a breeze. Until I had to debug why my font sprites were rendering all messed up.It's still work in progress, definitely not finished, but today I have tried to run some official CHIP-8 ROMs instead of just tests and my super simple test ROM and.. it's working!!It is so satisfying once it clicks.. I think I'm addicted. Show HN: Cjson.cpp, the new fastest-ever (constexpr) JSON parserhttps://github.com/rfgplk/cjson.cppHowdy.This is a fully constexpr (mostly, the mapping + vector marshalling code isn't) JSON parsing library for C++23/26. Based off of my preliminary benchmarks it's around 30-80% faster in parsing json (of any form) compared to the fastest libraries I could find (simdjson/Glaze). In serialization & DOM manipulation (which is mostly what I've written this for), it's outright 3-10x faster (depending on the doc). The only weak(ish) spot is the fact that it parses number heavy jsons slightly worse (it's double parser isn't too heavily optimized) plus it suffers (a bit) on super tiny inputs (sub 100ish bytes).The other important feature is the fact that the _whole_ library is constexpr, allowing you to do full json parsing + mutations at compiletime, which is especially useful for build system dispatching via #embed.Aug 11, 2026 5:48 PM

These sometimes go over the heads of low-IQ bullies who dropped out of their computer science courses because they were too difficult, and went into a career in bullying programmers.I've noticed that when I make my intention and acceptance criteria very clear to the models, sometimes it's the only part the griefers understand, since the computer science portion goes over their heads.
