Investing in Space: Industry enters new era with tight funding and SpaceX dominanceI’m wrapping up my time at the World Satellite Business Week conference, after a whirlwind of panels, meetings and more. Paris, lovely as ever, played host to insights from old and new sources, and I could spend the rest of the year writing solely about everything I learned here.

Ask HN: What are the fun projects wroth trying with a Linux gaming handheld?I own a Miyoo Flip V2, which is a lovely device. I'm kinda bored at playing games with it, so in the past few months, I didn't use it very much. But it's a very capable pocket machine with Linux in it. I connected it through SSH and it has all basic softwares (and I think we can just add more). So, I've been trying to brainstorm fun ideas that I can do with it. But to be honest, fun, useful and offline ideas are really hard to come by.I would like to ask for your help, and see what ideas that are worth trying!

Show HN: I made an ultrafast racing game like F-zero but for mobileHello! I just launched a new game which is my contribution to the future anti-gravity racing genre - one I miss.App Store: https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/nitelore/id6790147739I decided to make this around my memories of playing F-zero or Wipeout rather than exact copying - I liked the speed, beating times and sometimes blowing someone up. That’s what I went for, and mostly speed. It’s got lots of tracks, lots of game modes, upgrades and what not. It’s mobile but I’ve tried not to be scummy about it - you can achieve everything through playing (and not grinding for years) but you can buy IAP to get new ships and upgrades if you’d rather not wait (or to throw a few bones my way).I think it’s a lot of fun and hopefully some of you will too. I’m totally open to suggestions too because I want to make this really as good as possible. It’s iOS only atm but Android is coming soon (Play Store review permitting…)Thanks for reading and have a lovely day.

Show HN: An interactive game of British ColumbiaI recently drove through the beautiful lands of British Columbia. I've called this place home for a better part of 20 years, and I realized that I know very little outside the little bubble that I live in.So I created this interactive map/game where you play as the Sasquatch, roaming the land and discovering hidden gems, towns, and other wildlife. You can read up on the town's story, view pictures to get a sense of what they look like, and stuff like that.I wanted to put this out there for those who are curious about our lovely province and enjoy roaming around.I am a software developer, but this app is vibe-coded. I do believe that this kind of usage of AI is fantastic--to better understand the world around us through immersive simulation.Let me know what you guys think!

Show HN: CL and FB reselling app with auto renew and auto price reductionI recently moved apartments and had a lot of stuff I wanted to get rid of.I found the reselling process to be cumbersome – I needed to post the same info twice, to both Facebook and Craigslist. I had to renew the items so they don't expire. I also had to reduce the item prices if they didn't sell.So I decided to do what any right minded overzealous, "pragmatic" software engineer does – instead of spending 10 minutes every few days reducing the prices and renewing the items, why not spend 3 weeks to build out a fully decked out Electron app that does all of the above automatically for you? Why not indeed...In the end, it's been a fun ride and I learned a lot. And actually! now it's coming in handy as I'm finally starting to sell the backlog of items that I've accumulated.Once I built it, I figured I'd offer it on gumroad, make a buck, why not... btw, the link is for a discounted version ($1 instead of $10) so that you lovely HN lot can try it out.Curious if you all have thoughts / feedb
