Seeking co-founders: music tech startuphttps://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=42675858Dear community!Long story short: I seek for prospective startup co-founders. My idea (and already working prototypes): use sensor-based wearabled to let people play music without any knowledge of skill. You can view the product here: www.musdev.euI have spent >10 years creating various music-playing/music-generating games, including usage of smartphone/smartwatch sensors, i.e., I have big experience and even bigger dedication to the topic. Some of them are present at early videos on my Youtube channel:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgcOxK6XFEyg6Bu6jBbU-Ag/On this channel shorts demonstrate usage of the product (2+ self-made wearable devices) allowing for playing of the music tracks. Ask HN: Which tech companies are full of do-gooders?https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=8508086Hi HN -I’ll be graduating in May with a Masters in CS, and I’ve been working to compile a list of potential employers to engage with. My goal is to use my tech chops and my workaholism to help people - either locally or globally. However, at present, my list is embarrassingly small:Watsi, KhanAcademy, Mozilla… I need your help!Google search is failing me: the word “benefits” returns company perks and benefits, “change the world,” “helping people,” and many other similar phrases have been overused by nearly every PR department in the world (especially in tech). Maybe I should try Bing…So, who’s out there that’s impressed you with their impact and dedication? Big or small, it doesn’t matter. I’d really appreciate your help on this! :)Thanks, and happy Saturday, Mike

Can a Product Inspire Responsibility? Why Aesthetics Matterhttps://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=3217779One of the negative traits that came as a result of a somewhat priviledged lifestyle as a youth was that I didn't take care of my things. If I tore up my khakis playing neighborhood football in the back yard, my folks bought me a new pair. My Audi got destroyed bit by bit while going through pledgeship in college. And I have been through more than a couple of PC's. (I'm not proud of these habits)But I noticed something odd about two items when they were sitting next to each other today on my TV stand today. They have been through a lot with me and are still in excellent condition?! People say that Steve Jobs was amazing for creating such innovative products that "just feel good in your hands." They are right, but I would venture to take it a step further. I have had an 80 gig Ipod Classic for over 3 years now and a Macbook Pro for over a year and a half. I have never felt such dedication, loyalty and responsibility for a material item in my life. The feel of something in your hands is i
