I created a Google Sheet Addon for Accounting, How do I get people to try it?I created a Spreadsheet Addon for freelancers, small and medium sized businesses. For instance, this Addon handles checkout option for online stores. When a user successfully purchases an item from a store, our Addon facilitates invoice/receipts. Then, it automatically records items in our transaction sheet (bookkeeping). For freelancers, we provide invoicing templates they can choose from. They can send invoices straight to their clients email inbox and track those invoices until they're paid (sending reminder emails to client et al).I have friends who have used this Addon and are in love with it. However, I'd like others to try it out too and give feedback too.How do I go about this? Here's the link to the Addon.https://workspace.google.com/marketplace/app/paytrack/913987535189

Help HN: Another HN as a Google CS Proxy Request@dang Please forgive me if I'm violating etiquette.Well the Google algorithm chose my partner this time. This is a request to any HN Googlers or HN users that know any Googlers that can help.A couple of weeks ago I saw a fraudulent charge on my credit card, so I reported it. My card got cancelled and we got issued two new ones that would arrive in 10-14 business days. My partner switched to paying her Google account to her own card, and when the new cards arrived, she switched over to the new one. This event triggered the Google algorithm to send her this email:``` Date: Mon, Nov 28, 2022, 4:14 PM Subject: Important Information Regarding Your Google AccountYou're receiving this email because we haven't been able to verify some of the info on your Google account. Until we can verify it, you won't be able to transact with any products you may be using (e.g. Play, Google Ads, AdSense, Workspace, Google Cloud, etc.) with this account. Google demands HAR files with sensitive info to look into payment issuesMy company uses Google Workspace for email, and we are happy to pay them for their services. A while back, our old payment card expired and they emailed us saying we have to add a new one. So I logged in and tried adding a new card (a VISA card that works everywhere else, even in other parts of Google), but it repeatedly failed with the error code OR-CCSEH-26 and the message “Your card’s issuer declined this request. Contact your bank or use a different payment method.” So I contacted my bank (the largest bank in Norway) and they said everything is fine and they have heard reports that Google sometimes rejects transactions for no good reason, but there’s nothing they can do about it - I have to resolve it with Google.I contact Google Workspace support and after the usual introductory pleasantries they seem to understand that I have a legitimate issue that their specialist team needs to look more closely at. However, even though this appears to be strictly a backend issue (after all, th

Launch HN: Karate Labs (YC W22) – Open-Source API and UI Test AutomationHi HN, Peter here, founder of Karate Labs (https://karatelabs.io) joined by my co-founder Kapil. Karate is an open-source solution unifying API and UI test automation, including mock servers and performance testing (https://github.com/karatelabs/karate).Back in 2016, I was part of the API platform team at Intuit. An issue had been slowing down the team: a particular test for a set of key services would randomly fail, and it was not clear if this was a problem with the test or if there was a genuine defect. The deeper I looked, the more the complexity around the test-suite freaked me out. It was using an in-house framework, which had evolved over years and the test depended on code in multiple files scattered across the workspace. It was clear that many programmers had attempted to fix it over the years. It was next to impossible to understand what the test was doing. There had to be a better way to express web-service functional tests, and I started thinking hard about it.This gave bir

Ask YC: Auction-based pricing? We are organizing a coworking office space in Sofia, Bulgaria. One of our biggest problems is finding the right price to ask for rent, as the difference in income for freelancers here can be as big as 15 times. Therefore, we are leaning towards auctioning off the 30 office spaces one by one. (Technically, the 30 best bids will win, with the minimal bid being the cost of electricity and water for the person.)Pros:- Maximal usage of office space. We better have 1 person pay $5/mo instead of leaving the workspace empty.- If this is a blind auction, the best bid could be as much as twice the average.- We can accommodate people from different levels of income (e.g., underpaid artists).Cons:- Confusion on behalf of people wanting to sign up.- If the auction is open (everyone can see the bids) we won't get such a good price, because we don't think there will be more than 100 people bidding for the 30 places.- Winner's curse. People may feel tricked if they pay more than their peers.- We won't
