Ask HN: What's Next for LLMs?I've been using DeepSeek v4 flash for guided agent workflows (in-IDE, prompt/review diffs) and have found no noticeable benefit to using Haiku, Opus, Sonnet in this workflow.For around a dollar a day, I am able to more than double my own productivity. What are the frontier models for/what are they trying to solve?Are they designed to one shot applications? Show HN: Draco – A single-binary, self-hostable Firecrawl alternative in RustScraping modern websites has become a massive headache. You basically have two choices: pay for an expensive API like Firecrawl/Browserbase, or run a fleet of headless Chrome instances that eat 1GB of RAM per page and still get blocked by Cloudflare.I built Draco to fix this. It’s a fast, single-binary web scraper written in Rust. You point it at a URL, and it spits out perfectly clean Markdown or structured JSON for LLMs.The secret sauce is that it doesn't just boot a browser for every request. It uses a tiered escalation engine:Tier 1 (Stealth Fetch): Draco uses a custom TLS/JA4 fingerprint to perfectly mimic a real browser's network signature at the packet level. It turns out a lot of anti-bot walls will let you right through if your handshake looks correct. In my benchmarks against sites like Cloudflare and Target, Playwright ate ~500MB of RAM and timed out. So defined decision agreement rates, trajectory agreement rates etc etcMost tell us whether the final answer was right, but not whether the agent actually did the same thing twice.In prospective replays of financial services tasks, agents reached the same decision about 94–95% of the time. Exact tool-name paths matched only 67–69%. Once the tool arguments were included, agreement fell to 45–52%.I don’t think every different path is automatically a failure. Sometimes it’s harmless flexibility.
