Ask HN: I hate coding agents. Is this skill issue?1. Farewell deep focus. Before, I could work in flow state for hours on end. Now, waiting for the prompt to finish introduces constant interruptions, which translates into constant distractions, constant context switch, infinite ideas for endless new projects. My brain is melting. I can literally feel when my neurons start clogging up, forcing me to take frequent pauses just staring outside the window for 10 minutes straight.2. I don't own my own projects anymore. Before, I used to understand every single little implementation detail of a project. When a client reported a bug, I immediately knew what and where to fix in the code base. Now, all I can do is to clasp my hands and recite a prayer to the LLM deity, hoping that my voice will be heard.3. The overlords decide my fate. This is a corollary of #2. There's an outage every other day, and since I don't understand 80% of the code the AI has written, no AI available means it's literally impossible for me to work. I depend completely o

Show HN: I hated how much my 12-year-old played Roblox, so we built our own FPSI'm a father of two, 7 and 12. They are obsessed with Roblox, especially Rivals.Like a lot of parents, we did not love it. We tried the usual things: block it, limit it, set timers." It became a daily battle, a lose-lose situation. So I flipped the problem.Instead of fighting what they loved, I decided to lean into it, but with a twist. Why just play an FPS when you could build one together? My kids became the PMs. Claude and I became their engineer.I was shocked by how fast we moved. We picked a name, Cooked and started building.Get in. Lock in. Get cooked! In the first 3 hours, we had an actual FPS we could play together in the browser.Next day I invited my friend's two kids over. Suddenly, I had four PMs.We had 3 laptops, 1 iPad and 1 iPhone. So in 30mins we added mobile support and could play all 5 together. The kids would ask for features:"Can we have a rocket launcher that knocks people off the map?""The knife should stab faster when you hold it."I know almost nothing about FPS design,

MemX – my AI agent remembers I hate capsicum on pizzaLike everyone else in 2025 who thought “just slap a vector DB on it” would create a coherent long-term agent, I watched my Python sidekick slowly turn into a forgetful goldfish with hoarding issues.Classic failure mode:User (day 1): “My favorite editor is VSCode” User (day 47): “Actually switched to Cursor” Agent (day 92): “You love VSCode, right?”Or the memory index slowly becoming this:User prefers Python User REALLY prefers Python Python is basically the user's personalityAll equally weighted. Forever.Vector search is great at similarity, but terrible at current truth.Human memory fades old opinions and overwrites bad takes. My agent? Eternal archive of everything I ever said.So I built MemX as a small experiment: what happens if an agent’s memory actually has a lifecycle?Things like:importance signalsfrequency reinforcementduplicate compressionexplicit updates / supersedinggentle decay for outdated factsStack is intentionally boring:SQLiteFAISSsome scoring logic pretending to be a

Show HN: I Built an Email Marketing Tool for Founders Who Hate Email MarketingI’ve launched a few SaaS products before, but this time I built something I’m genuinely excited about. I kept seeing a real pain among SaaS founders and devs: email marketing. If you run a SaaS and you’re not using email marketing, you’re honestly missing out. It’s still the best way to engage and retain your users. That’s why I built Resletter, an email marketing platform made specifically for SaaS founders and developers. No bloated UI, no unnecessary complexity like Mailchimp, Brevo, or other traditional email marketing tools.Don’t believe me? Try the free plan, connect your Resend account or SMTP, and test it yourself. We offer JavaScript and Python SDKs, plus a full API if you want deeper integration with your SaaS, and everything comes with a clean, intuitive interface. If you like it, you can upgrade. Paid plans give you higher limits and let you use our email infrastructure directly with your own domain. Resletter is still in an early testing phase, so any feedback is more than wel

Show HN: An app for people who like to note down things, but hate organising itHave you ever wanted to jot something down - tasks you wanted to do, just journal your ideas and thoughts, lists you wanted to remember, links you wanted to bookmark for later, pdfs with event tickets or travel that you wanted to find later, photos with details you need for later? or just speak and have that info findable later. The problem is you couldn't. If you even wanted to find that information later, you need to organize them into folders and add important keywords so its findable in search. If you wanted to create tasks or lists, you had to go and create one by one so its visually readable. For files that you want to find later, you had to put it in your phone files or in drive. Now you know the tickets dont have proper file names. How are you going to find it unless you organized into folders? Its 2025 and with AI you don't have to do all these anymore.OktoNote takes care of all this for you. Your quick things to jot down, voice recordings, files, photos all of it can be uploaded
