Is there room for an AI-powered webmail service built on a single-letter domain?https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=49345378Hi HN, I’m a solo, non-technical founder working on W, an AI-powered webmail service built on a premium single-letter domain (https://w.xyz).I secured the domain and used AI agents to build out a functional proof-of-concept for the client. To handle infrastructure, I routed the application logic through Mailgun. Internally, the prototype is fully operational — emails successfully send and receive from @w.xyz handles. W combines a highly optimized interface with built-in AI capabilities like Spam Scanning, Smart Reply and Text Summaries.I currently have a 30+ organic waitlist as I finish the final touches and prepare to move away from the prototype stack. My questions for the community:Concept Validation: Given how crowded the email space is, do you see a viable market for an AI-native premium webmail service, or do you believe the switching cost from Gmail/Outlook too high for users?Scaling Roadmap: As a non-technical founder moving away from an AI-generated prototype stack, what are th

Show HN: CoFoundMe – I gamified finding collaborators for your project/startuphttps://cofoundme.appHi guys I know ur time is valuable so I will keep this short. Ever since I was in uni I saw that its been difficult for people finding collaborators for your project/startup. Building something is easier than ever but finding collaborators has never been more difficult. so I interviewed 1083 users (yea i know thats a lot but i needed some validation hehe). Half of them did not hear about yc cofounder matching and other platforms and the ones who were using them still found it quite painful and exhausting and they got no one from there. I found that in most cases for my users the only way to network is to send a post or cold dm (90% of people dont even open their dms) and if u do post abt it , the post reaches everyone (ur friends, ur family, ur boss) which means it reaches no one. So I built a prototype (it was very bad) and the next thing I know there are 1027 users on the app and 394 collaborations made bahahahahahahahahha. The users loved the idea but also had some feedback which I

Show HN: Visimer – open-source visual editor for Mermaid diagramshttps://github.com/inkeep/visimerHi HN, Nick here, founder at OpenKnowledge. We built an open source library, Visimer, for editing Mermaid diagrams with a what-you-see-is-what-you-get visual editor. Try the playground at https://visimer.com/playground. You can rename labels, change shapes, add new nodes, etc. by clicking and dragging the visual canvas. We set out to build this originally for OpenKnowledge, our markdown wysiwyg editor, then realized it’d be great to share it as a proper embeddable component library so that other apps can leverage it as well. Our general take is that AI is great for generating content, but whenever you want to tweak fine details, for example to create an artifact sharable with others, point-edit functionality is much better. We built Visimer to bring that to Mermaid diagrams, just like we did for markdown. Some technical bits:- Leverages the native Mermaid.js renderer for visualizing the Mermaid diagram true to how it’s intended. We add point-edit functionality on top.- We tried re-generat
