Ask HN: Can/Will server, network and security jobs ever be outsourced?I am a server/security guy from Nepal and this is unfortunate situation where Nepalese companies are absolutely bad pay, bad Worklife, bad politics everything. Remote jobs are not possible.Getting entry to offshored IT companies is meaningless. Since companies like logpoint, verisk, cedar gate work on age old technologies compared to the Nepali companies making product for nepali market.I want to make enough money so that I do not have to be scared about next month. Something around 70 thousands per month would be a nice amount at this moment at this age of my life.Thus I was seeking some remote jobs opportunities. My friends told me that server, security, network etc jobs are vulnerable so they will never be outsourced. They might be offshored(establishing a company in Nepal) but will never be outsourced. Built an AI tool to automate staying updated market moves on your portfolioI love investing but I don't have the time anymore to keep track of all market moves on a weekly/day-to-day basis, and make up how it impacts my portfolio.I wanted to test out Cursor and OpenAI/Gemini and I built financebro.io. It uses Gemini and OpenAI to scrape the web for the latest news related to the portfolio tickers. It also gathers Price Targets and any updates to it for each stock.It sends out end-of-trading week recaps to the user on email, every Friday.I absolutely love it for my personal use and I have some friends that also actively use it. Show HN: Laser-Tracer, programmable virtual volumetric vector displayThis was an idea I had 7yrs ago that I recently decided to go ahead and build since by working with LLMs (mostly o3 and Gemini 2.5 pro) it seemed doable in reasonable time.The original motivation was partly aesthetic, but mostly that this was the ideal "language" for me to express arbitrary 3d forms through. I wanted something with zero boilerplate that would be a natural fit for algorithmic expression. For me, writing programs that say how to move a "pen" around in 3d space was more intuitive than e.g. writing pixel shaders.The format is inspired by Logo/Turtle, and somewhat mimics how a 3d printer works in that Laser-Tracer programs are G-Code like: the fundamental operation is depositing points; from there we get 'traces' specified by either relative (pen.traceBy(x,y,z)) or absolute destinations (pen.traceTo(x,y,z)). I Decided Against Using Google Ads for My StartupI have recently released my first web service [1]. Naturally I am now thinking of marketing it and the logical first step is to turn to "the elephant" in the room - Google. I wanted to get familiar with the user interface and see how exactly this whole thing works today and to my absolute frustration I couldn't make it work. Google wouldn't let me create another (business) account because my personal phone number was "used too many times" (I do have a personal account). I tried using my business's virtual phone number instead. No dice. Google doesn't accept virtual numbers (allegedly, the error message is simply "it cannot be used"). I tried searching some help in their "Help Center". They said "use some friend's number". That's absurd, but okay - I tried using my spouse's, in my desperation.
