Show HN: Onlybots.camhttps://onlybots.camHi HN — I'm Martyn and I built this.A few years ago I interviewed with the company behind Stripchat. I would have taken the offer if I'd passed. At the time I figured the webcam industry was sleazy but functional. Then someone wrote a comment to my favorite social platform, that laid out what the industry actually looks like from the inside — contracts that change after signing, studios making tens of thousands a night while models get hundreds, performers who looked happy at 25 but had no family and no way back at 40.I came up with the domain name first. Then I bought it. Then I used AI to pull every relevant study I could find — Human Rights Watch reports, ICIJ investigations, peer-reviewed papers. The research that would have taken weeks took about an hour. I verified every source by hand. What you see on onlybots.cam is the result. The site looks like an AI companion platform. Show HN: I extract recipes from TikTok, Instagram, and the messy webhttps://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=46974890I kept losing recipes. You know how it goes — you're scrolling TikTok at midnight, see an amazing pasta dish, save it, and never find it again. So I built TasteBuddy to fix that for myself. What I didn't expect: parsing recipes from the internet is a rabbit hole that goes deep. The thing is, recipe content is scattered everywhere in completely different formats. A food blog might have nice JSON-LD markup. A TikTok? Just someone talking over a video. An Instagram reel? Recipe buried in the comments. Pinterest? Links to blogs that died three years ago.So I ended up building specialized extractors for each platform.*Websites* are the "easy" case. I look for JSON-LD with `@type: Recipe` first — most food blogs have it, thanks to SEO plugins. But the real world is messy. I've seen duration fields as `PT30M`, `30 minutes`, `0:30`, and my personal favorite, just `half an hour`. About 30% of recipe URLs have no structured data at all, so I fall back to Gemini to make sense of the raw HTML.*TikTFeb 11, 2026 1:45 PM

Show HN: CodeRLM – Tree-sitter-backed code indexing for LLM agentshttps://github.com/JaredStewart/coderlm/blob/main/server/REPL_to_API.mdI've been building a tool that changes how LLM coding agents explore codebases, and I wanted to share it along with some early observations.Typically claude code globs directories, greps for patterns, and reads files with minimal guidance. It works in kind of the same way you'd learn to navigate a city by walking every street. You'll eventually build a mental map, but claude never does - at least not any that persists across different contexts. The Recursive Language Models paper from Zhang, Kraska, and Khattab at MIT CSAIL introduced a cleaner framing. Instead of cramming everything into context, the model gets a searchable environment. The model can then query just for what it needs and can drill deeper where needed.coderlm is my implementation of that idea for codebases. A Rust server indexes a project with tree-sitter, builds a symbol table with cross-references, and exposes an API. The agent queries for structure, symbols, implementations, callers, and grep results — getting back eFeb 11, 2026 1:10 PM

Show HN: GHOSTYPE – AI voice input that learns your writing stylehttps://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=46971643Hello HN,I’m the creator of GHOSTYPE.I built this because I wanted a voice input workflow that didn't feel like talking to a chatbot. I wanted something that felt like a "neural extension" of my keyboard. It’s a macOS-native app that sits between your voice and your active window. Here is what it actually does:The Core Input Workflow:Push-to-Talk & Smart Send: Hold a global shortcut to speak. It detects the active app to determine the correct send method (e.g., Cmd+Enter for Slack vs Enter for Discord).Inline Editing: You can format while speaking. Need a line break, a specific spelling, or a bulleted list? You just say it, and it handles the formatting inside the sentence before outputting."Call Ghost": Post-processing commands (translate, polish, expand) are available immediately after speaking, before the text is typed out.The Experimental Stuff (WIP):1. Ghost Twin (Style Transfer): I call this a "Virtual Personality Engine" (a bit pretentious, I know). It analyzes your local writingFeb 11, 2026 6:35 AM

Ask HN: Why is everyone here so AI-hyped?https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=46965731I get it - LLMs do have some value, but not as much as everyone (especially those from AI labs) is trying to pitch. I can't help thinking that it's so obvious we are almost at the very top of this bubble - but here it feels like the majority of HN doesn't think like that...Yet just in 2026 we had:- AI.com was sold for $70M - Crypto.com founder bought it to launch yet another "personal AI agent" platform, which promptly crashed during its Super Bowl ad debut.- MoltBook-mania - a Reddit clone where AI bots talk to each other, flooded with crypto scams and "AI consciousness" posts. 250,000+ bot posts burning compute for what actual value? Show HN: Update UK Butchers Meat Price Trackerhttps://meat.offer-spider.comHey all!Following up on a previous post (had a bit of a hug of death) - https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=46255827Have made a lot of improvements to make it actually useful and move to a stable domain (desktop still best, but it at least works now on mobile):Butcher list - Lots more butchers added to the scraper.Browse by Cut - This is the big one. Instead of scrolling through 1000+ individual products, you can now browse by standardised cut (Ribeye, Brisket, Lamb Leg, etc). I've mapped products from a selection of popular butchers to ~154 canonical cuts. Click a cut and see every matching product across all sites, sorted by price/kg. Looking to improve taxonomy over time with ongoing missed matches/remaps where the automation was wrong.90-day price ratings - I've been collecting price data for a while now, so the site can tell you if a product is at its lowest price in 90 days () or within 5% of that low (). Handy for spotting whether a "sale" is actually a good deal.Fresh vs FrozeFeb 10, 2026 6:41 PM
