I do open-source projects, mostly about QoL, and I think many people would find them useful.I want to build my CV around products with real users, but yeah, again, I'm a god-knows-who student with zero leverage. If you have any useful tips or advice, I'm all ears.

Show HN: hnsubstacks – Browse only Substacks submitted to HNI made an HN clone that lists only Substacks posted here.- Why? Over the years, I've discovered some great blogs here, so I thought it would be nice to have a filter for them.- Why only Substacks then and not blogs more generally? Because it's easy to query for "substack.com" in the public HN Algolia API (see below). Plus, hnblogs was already taken :)- What about substacks on custom domains then? At the bottom of the page there is a form to submit a custom domain. The site attempts to auto-validate that it is a Substack. If that fails, it is marked for manual review (which I'll do every once in a while). Approved ones will be included in the results.- How? I use HN's Algolia API to fetch substack stories by searching for "substack.com" in the url. I do this via a CloudFlare worker that has 3 separate cron triggers: (1) fetches new stories every 10 minutes and saves them in a KV store. (2) runs 2 minutes after the first, computes hot stories from new ones by simulating HN's score algori

Show HN: I scratched my own itch by solving a niche Basecamp problemFirst things first: On the landing page, click on the "demo" link below the Hero section to try it without jumping any hoops**I'm a long-time Basecamp user and satisfied with its overall functionality. Of course, there are many things that can be improved but that is not the point of this post.*Background*Basecamp lets users create "Projects". These projects are isolated workspaces that contain: members, todos, chat, files, message board, and calendar, etc. My issue was with the scattered calendars. Because I (and every other Basecamp user) creates a dedicated project for different scope of work, even if it is for the same client. For example, at any given time, I may have 4 projects for client-X and 3 projects for client-Y.*My pain point*I have experienced that most clients (especially the decision-makers) do not use Basecamp as often as we--the agency folks use it. They just use it when some reviews or comments are required or some file access. The clients organize their days in their

Show HN: Halo – open-source, tamper-evident runtime evidence for AI agentsHi HN, I'm Brian, I spent the last few years at Vanta (YC W18), helping startups and enterprises become compliant and I recently started exploring what that might look like in a post-agentic world. The problem Halo solves is: when a company buys an AI agent from a vendor and gives it access to their data, they have no way to check what the agent did with that data. Vendors may have built observability dashboards and audit logs, but those are editable and partisan. SOC 2 and ISO 27001 audit a company's controls, but controls are less predictive when the software is agentic. TLDR: give an agent the same prompt 50 times, and you get 50 slightly different actions/answers - so the only thing worth auditing in a post-agentic world is what happened at runtime.Halo is an open-source project that produces agent runtime evidence. It's a small recorder that records every action an agent takes (eg. tool calls, model calls, data access, etc), and becomes a record in an append-only log. It's hash-cha

Show HN: New Search MCP Using Cloudflare AI SearchHello,So I got sick of my agents not having ready access to information they needed about projects that I'm working on ready and at hand so I built a new AGPL-3.0 (free forever) MCP that utilizes Cloudflare AI Search to index your repos and anything else you want to feed into it. It also includes a nice little web widget that allows end users to search your repos for documentation, etc., and allows end users to ask an AI Chat Bot questions regarding your projects. If you want to see the widget, I enabled it on another project I'm working on here: https://vivijure.com.I hope people will find this new piece of software useful, it's been very useful for me so far and I'm sure there's at least one other person out there who could use it :).Thanks, -Skyphusion

Show HN: Building My Own Public HTML Library for Async LearningI like creating HTML artifacts from my AI agents to facilitate async learning. The problem is that I find many simple flows are more cumbersome than they should be. Artifacts should be fast to navigate to, easy to organize, quick to share and for others to open and read.I built html-hub.com/browse as a public HTML for async learning, and write about some of my learnings in the blog post. Some features encompassed include: agent transcripts, artifact citations, and auto-sorting an artifact into a directory

Ask HN: How do I find startups hiring developers for low pay and equity?I know about Work at a Startup, YC job, and Wellfound jobs, but they haven’t really worked for me so far.I don’t mind if the pay is low as long as there is some equity involved, or even a mix of both. Are there any other job platforms or should I approach startup by myself ? I’m trying to find a role where I can use that experience while also learning more about the startup side.If you are a startup, how would you respond to that?I have 4+ years of experience working with React and Next.js, and also react native, node.js I’ve been doing contract work for quite a while, and I’m looking for something more involved before going back to regular corporate work. Are there startups working in this kind of setup, or any specific places where people usually find these kinds of roles?

Show HN: Mondael.com – Institutional Intelligence for Prediction MarketsThis project grew out of frustration of trying to find out the odds of a Hantavirus pandemic. When I went to search for it, I had to wade through sports gambling, and novelty markets that distracted me from just getting a really useful number with context to know if it was accurate. To solve this, my friend and I made mondael.com, which we're using to analyze, and visualize interesting prediction markets in the realm of: Geopolitics, Elections, Macro, Finance, Energy, and Science & Technology. The basic belief is that prediction markets can often move faster than news, but only if the data is filtered, organized, and presented in a way that separates real signal from noise. The site is free and open for all to explore. Once we had the core database working, we started adding tools around it:- Live Brier scoring: track how accurate markets are across desks, tags, and topics.- Cross-asset correlations: compare prediction markets with real-world assets like stocks, FX, commodities, and ETFs

ScreenStack Is Looking for Design PartnersIf your team is hiring and conducting interviews, I urge you to consider ScreenStack: an all-in-one interview platform that replaces your fragmented stack of tools. It was built by engineers who have spent years at FAANG, conducted over 400 hours of interviews, and felt the pain firsthand: juggling Zoom, CoderPad, Excalidraw, and an AI notetaker, then burning hours stitching them together to reach a decision.ScreenStack has everything you need to run an interview built in: video calls, live transcription, a collaborative coding IDE, and a whiteboard. And because it has the full context of the interview, its AI agents produce evidence-based insights across the criteria you care about in a few minutes after the interview, for example, Communication and Problem Solving. You get an objective view of how it went, and enough data to make a hiring decision. They're looking for design partners right now, so you can use it entirely for free. All they ask for is your feedback, and I will personall

Show HN: Graphene – local-only Git wrapper to manage stacked branchesGraphene is a tool I've been working on with Codex to create, publish, manage stacked branches and PRs. It's become a indispensable tool to manage code for me and other co-workers since moving off of paid stacked PR products. It stores its state in local gitconfig and is just a wrapper around regular git commands. Graphene doesn't actually interact with the Github API at all. PRs have to be created manually (but it does print quick links after a push to create properly stacked PRs)Graphene comes with agent skills so you can have your favourite agent create atomic PRs that are easy for humans to review.I'm curious to see if anyone has any feedback on it.
