Show HN: TickClip – An AI shopping agent that can recommend not buyingIMAGE

Show HN: TickClip – An AI shopping agent that can recommend not buyingMy name is Tarik Aarbaoui, I am an affiliate and influencer marketing specialist. For the last 14 years I’ve worked to grow revenue while trying to meet shoppers’ expectations. But during my time there, I observed a core conflict: shoppers often look to influencers and affiliate content to help them decide what to buy, but the people making those recommendations are usually only compensated when a purchase happens. Usually this means that the incentive is to encourage the sale, even when waiting or not buying might be better for the shopper. That insight is what inspired me to build TickClip. It uses a simple three-outcome decision model for online shopping: Tick to buy, Clip to wait or reconsider, Skip to avoid. The point is to build a fiduciary decision layer that views purchases from the buyer’s viewpoint, not optimizing for conversion.I'd love feedback on the decision model, how clear the verdicts are, and what evidence you'd need to see to trust a system like this.

Ask HN: After 8 Years of Failed Apps, Should I Give Up?I’m asking because I have been trying for eight years, before AI and vibe coding. I’m an IT engineer and a hard worker. During all those years, I tried to build tens of apps. I was always so excited at first, but after a short time, I would get demotivated and realize that my app was useless. So I would stop, get excited about another app, and repeat the same cycle over and over.I stopped for one year because I had built a great app. It was a local app, only for my country, and it was getting 3K users every week. I was just a student, so I had no money to pay for ads. All the growth came from organic traffic and social media marketing.I started feeling that I was very close to success. Then, suddenly, at least three apps that were almost copies of mine started appearing. They had huge marketing campaigns, better versions, and even famous people promoting their apps.My users started dropping from 3K to 2K, then 1K, 300, 100, 30, and finally only one or two. I became really depressed bec

By opening the "black box," you'll learn not just what to write, but how and why an effective essay is structured.Everyone can generate up to three application essays for free.I wish I could offer unlimited generations at no cost. However, this project is fully bootstrapped, with no outside investment, and every AI-generated essay incurs computing costs. If you find the tool helpful, your support helps keep the service running and allows us to c
