Ask HN: How do you use Copilot in the CLI, App, and IDE?I'd like to have a uniform experience with Copilot regardless of the product – Copilot CLI, Copilot App, and Copilot in the IDE – but that isn't possible today. For example, the handy /review command of the CLI isn't available in the App. The App is nice and conversational, but can't navigate through code like Copilot in the IDE can. Copilot in the IDE is effective, but lacks several features of the other two.How are you working with Copilot? Which products do you use? Show HN: Formally verified 3D CSG: Trust 93 lines spec, not 1000 lines AI codeTo my knowledge, this is the first formally verified implementation of a 3D constructive solid geometry (CSG) operation: mesh intersection, implemented in Lean 4 and verified against a concise specification that pins down the surface of the resulting mesh exactly and guarantees practical well-formedness conditions on the triangulation.This project is also an experiment in avoiding having to trust AI-generated code. A human reviewer only needs to read 93 lines of formal specification and run the Lean checker to certify the correctness of the kernel, skipping the intricate 1000+ lines of AI-written implementation. To prove correctness, AI autonomously wrote over 60,000 lines of Lean proofs, which also never have to be inspected by a human. The Lean checker guarantees conformance to the specification at compile time, with zero trust placed in any LLM. This allows us to treat the implementation and proofs as a black box. Show HN: The Rise of Open Weights – a long scroll storyOver the weekend I was discussing the latest news relating to open weights with some of my non-techie friends. After 30 mins of waffling, I realised it is quite a long and interesting story, with many twists and turns.I've always wanted to create a 'long scroll' story, but have never found a suitable story to tell. This felt like a fun weekend project to undertake.The story itself doesn't have too many scroll effects (which is probably a good thing), it was more about trying to tell a story with a certain style that wouldn't really fit on my personal blog.Would love to get your feedback on the content and / or presentation.AI Usage Notice: I used AI to help research the content, but the story itself was written entirely by me. Whereas the long scroll website was created entirely by Claude Code.As an aside, I had Claude create a simple markdown-based rendering process (inspired by remark.js) to ensure a deterministic rendering that didn't alter any of my words.
