Injured Edgewater QB Joe Aicher out of hospital: ‘I’m much better’Two days removed from a scary scene during which Edgewater quarterback Joe Aicher lay on the field after a brutal collision, he’s out of the hospital, upbeat and excited at the notion of playing again. “I’m much better … they did a CT-scan, an MRI and an X-ray and somehow all of them came back negative,” Aicher said Sunday, a day after being released from Orlando Regional Medical Center. “I ...

Show HN: The Gateless Gate – Ancient Zen text as 50 procedural 3D scenesIt's the full text of the Mumonkan aka The Gateless Gate, with a major modern upgrade. Each of the 49 cases has a small interactive diorama. The whole book can be read aloud with over an hour of speech, and each scene has its own quiet soundscape made from whatever is in it. It's free, no ads, no account, nothing to install, and I'm not selling anything. The whole work is still somewhat in progress though I am essentially done for now. I plan to continue making small improvements to the scenes and make a few tweaks to the text after spending more time with it and having others look it over. Also planning to release it on the google play store soon.I'm not a Buddhist teacher and I have no interest in misrepresenting anything. However I have spent a long while with this book and had a strong vision for how to make this version of it. If something reads wrong to you, or a scene misses the point of its case, I'd like to hear it.

Show HN: Open-Source Framer AlternativeHi,I've been working for two years on a design-oriented website builder which i've just released.Popular website builders like Framer and Webflow are great products, but their vendor-lock in and lack of proper code export is something that I found too non-user centric. You are paying rent on your own website. So i've decided to create Revyme, which is open source, self-hostable where you can design and export your code in Next.JS to host it anywhere.

Good Morning, Illini Nation: Who's Illinois' next best draft prospect?Aug. 15—The Los Angeles Clippers turned first-round pick Keaton Wagler into their leading man for their schedule release this week. Crazy to think a year ago at this time hype was still in a slow burn for the Illinois guard after an impressive showing in the team's summer workouts. Wagler is Illinois' fourth first-round pick in the last three years, following in the footsteps of Terrence ...

Alternative to Internet ArchiveNow; i use the archive to archive my prolithic output of music. (i have over 300 albums.) The music is of my own creation.Since the DDoS attack of 2024; Archive has been a hit or miss on the uploading factors. And many of my releases have specific dates for release. With the uncertainty of the uploads happening it causes me to break focus on working with music and watch the upload to make sure there isn't a 503 happening each file. (which sometimes happens frequently.)I am in search of a similar uploading process with an unlimited amount of uploads. I don't want to make money off of my music. I don't want to individually input over 2000 songs; including their metadata and other factors. Many sites that we both have heard of; have various limitations or are not privacy friendly platforms ran by a company that seeks to be Big Brother from 1984 and watch us in a Brave New World.I would simply P2P my music on nicotine+ or even have a server for my music. The only thing stoping me on P2P my m

Show HN: Homelander – free desktop app that applies for apartments in GermanyI built Homelander because searching for apartments in Germany was taking too much time.It collects listings from multiple searches on ImmoScout24 and applies for you. I decided to build it because alternatives were either too techy or too expensive (like 100 euros per months).I originally built it for myself, then released it as a free and open-source desktop app. The first release got much more attention than I expected, and the project is now at 92 GitHub stars. It currently supports Mac, Windows and Ubuntu Linux.GitHub: https://github.com/B1Z0N/homelanderI'd be interested in feedback, especially on the UX side and on what would make it more useful for apartment hunters.Disclosure: as you can see I used AI to make it faster, and for UI, since I am bad at it. But I spent a shitton of time on UX.PS: I heard some people found apartments using this app, but I must warn - this is a portfolio project and goes against the usage guidelines of IS24.
