Show HN: RightMindMath and Arithmetic Fluency---TL;DR---Free PWA for Arithmetic Fluency. Not Standard. Not Perfect. Vanity Project. Battle scarred author. Wife dislikes landing page. Kahneman (Tversky) affected development. Additional info: Daughters are great at math.---Overview---I am emboldened to post to ShowHN because of a recent (to me) study about "Arithmetic Fluency" (AF) by McNeil, Jordon, et. al. link: https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/15291006241287726RightMindMath.com (RMM) is a personal project built from an Adobe Air app I originally created solely for my daughters. It is a FOSS project, and I cannot (and have no intention to) monetize/scale it.Since it uses the "Pages" feature of Github, cost to keep it going is mainly my domain reg/dns costs which are about $15/year.If you click thru to RightMindMath.com and click on the back story, there is a little information about how RMM came to be. Not stated is how extreme the resistance to "fluency" or "memorization" from those in my school district really was. For

Show HN: Raise Animals – Find every "Raise a ___" game, codes, and updatesI built Raise Animals , a simple fan-made website for people who love “Raise a ___” Roblox games — like Raise a Floppa, Raise a Peter, Raise a Bingus, etc.I noticed that game codes, updates, and tips were scattered across Reddit, Discord, and YouTube comments. So I decided to gather everything into one clean, ad-free site that’s easy to search and navigate. The site automatically updates new game versions, redeem codes, and guides as they appear. It’s fully static (built with React + Vercel), no trackers, no monetization — just a useful resource for fans.Would love any feedback or feature ideas!

Ask HN: Beer income ideas for a laid-off Nepali Jr.IT support?Say I make blogs about linux stuffs. What would be the best way to monetize it? Affiliates? But affiliates require conversions. I am not sure my audience can pay high. I do not get huge volume of audience for adsense to work well.If I want to sell something that I created to Nepalese, there is no easy way to integrate nepali payment options like eSewa etc. So, what should I do? I am seeking guidance? I have only 2,5 years of experience so freelancing will be tough. Videos creation is probably the best way but making videos is just not my thing. I can write good scripts in fields that I am well experienced in that is all.

Launch HN: Channel3 (YC S25) – A database of every product on the internetHi HN — we’re George and Alex, building Channel3 (https://trychannel3.com/), a database of every product on the internet, searchable via text/image, and with built-in affiliate monetization. Here’s a demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mx8FyP7KvJg.It’s surprisingly hard to find good product data. If you want your software to recommend products and deep-link to merchants, you’ll quickly discover that the data you need—clean titles, normalized attributes, deduped listings, current prices and inventory, variant options, images, and brand info—is not just messy; it’s also spread across a long, long tail of retailers, and often lives behind advanced bot-detection systems. We ran into this problem while building an AI teacher that could recommend relevant supplies. We asked Exa for products, but got back articles, not structured data. Same for Tavily and Bing (deprecated as of 8/13/25). And we got rejected from affiliate programs, who suggested we come back with 1000s of TikTok followers. C

My First $500 MRR – My thoughts and learningsI will keep this as straight to the point and no BS as possible. This is the 6th Project I build, the first one to have meaningful revenue, however you could consider 500€MRR as little revenue, but for me it's great progress. I'm not here to say that this is a lot, just here to share my thoughts on how I got here and what I learned. I know I still have a lot to learn.1st: FitMe - 30 Users, 0$, Failure (Built for 6 months, launched, 0 user feedback, was so tired and sick of it, extremely technically challenge. I built something that was "cool" not that I wanted) 2nd: Pickpocket Alert - 0$, Failure. 32,000 users. (Didn't know how to monetize.) 3rd: Nationality Guesser - 9€MRR, Failure. 22,000 users. (terrible pricing, feel kind of guilty the app is a bit racist so I stopped.) 4th: Ultra Mega Chad (AI Aggregator) - 0$, Failure. 50 users. To be fair I just wanted to learn how LLM api's/prompting work, i think this has potential and have seen competitors rise. 5h: Feasty AI - 0$, Failure 0 u

Show HN: PassiveCraft – AI Converts Social Media into Digital ProductsHi HN,After months of development, I'm excited to share PassiveCraft, a new AI-powered SaaS platform designed to solve the significant monetization challenge faced by content creators in the global creator economy. The idea for PassiveCraft came from my own frustrations as an ex-content creator. I experienced firsthand the struggle of converting engaging social media content into sustainable, sellable digital products without extensive technical knowledge or time. Existing solutions often required manual effort, complex integrations, or lacked the intelligence to truly understand and repurpose diverse content formats, leading me to believe that there had to be a better way.Our goal with PassiveCraft is to empower digital entrepreneurs worldwide by making it incredibly simple to turn their existing social media presence into a direct revenue stream. We've focused heavily on our proprietary AI algorithms and a streamlined user experience to achieve this. For instance, our AI analyzes vari

Ask HN: Substack for Product People?Hey everyone,I'm a co-founder of Roundups.aiJust wanted to gauge the temperature for a "Substack for Products." We initially launched as a content play for bloggers trying to stay relevant in the age of AI with high value content and easy monetization, but with Google killing SEO, unless you have an existing blog and audience, you would have a mountain to climb to realize value from Roundups.-- What does it do now? What could it do? ---AI analyzes products and generates guides that influence buying decisions. Creators generate revenue when an audience gains insight and makes purchases. So, our thinking is that if creators are embracing platforms like Substack and Behiiv where they can own their subscribers and remove SEO as a dependency for growth and engagement, there is market opportunity for a Substack for Product People.---Why?---Platforms like Mailchimp and Kit are for marketing funnels, and Substack and Beehiiv are for monetizing "prose" (people who want to monetize writing). Show HN: Sohri – Turn short stories into binge-able audio episodesHey HN, I love creating, and I've been fascinated by AI audio tools. But as a creator, trying to actually use them felt like a trap.First, wrestling with raw TTS APIs to create something that doesn't sound like a robot reading a phone book is an art form in itself. It takes forever to get the pacing and tone right.Second, and this was the real deal-breaker: even if you create a masterpiece, platforms like YouTube feel like they're just waiting to demonetize you or slap a restriction on your work because it's "AI-generated." It feels like you're building on someone else's land, and they can change the rules overnight. It's soul-crushing.I wanted a sanctuary for audio creators. A place that’s more like a recording studio in your pocket than a frustrating API wrapper. A platform where you can focus on your story, not on fighting the tools or the distribution algorithm. So, I built Sohri (https://sohri.ai). Sohri is designed to turn your short stories into polished, binge-able audio episode

Show HN: BeepThatOut – automatically filter out profanities from audio/videoHi all,my friend and I have built an AI-powered (whisper) editor for youtubers, podcasters, and video editors, that should cut down manual editing time by a lot. It's 'a bit' more than just a whisper wrapper, because you can configure a lot:- what kind of profanities to filter- add your own words (i.e. 'covid') to prevent demonetization on platforms like youtube- adjust the transcript in the editor like in google docs- readjust the position of each word- use 1000Hz beep, silence, or your own soundand more. You can export your work as audio, video, or as an .xml project for popular video editors. Almost everything (except the transcript part) happens in the browser by utilizing ffmpeg.wasm.

Kitab An-Nur – Preserving human experiences before AI content takes overI'm building something that might sound backward in 2025 – a deliberately text-only website that archives real human experiences. The problem: We're about to hit an inflection point where most online content will be AI-generated. There's a narrow window to preserve authentic human wisdom before it's buried under synthetic content forever. The approach:For starters : AI pipeline extracts actual wisdom from the internet, for example a Youtube video (25 min → 7 min of actionable content) Pure text interface, zero visual distractions or engagement manipulation Multilingual archive across languages Non-profit model focused on preservation, not monetizationTechnical challenge: How do you separate signal from noise at scale? Current approach uses LLMs to identify and extract experiential knowledge while filtering out promotional content, speculation, and fluff. Examples of what gets preserved:How someone in Mumbai saved their marriage (specific steps, not theory) How a farmer in Canada survive

Show HN: Frametwo – Tired of my videos getting flagged, so I built thisOver the past year I uploaded a bunch of videos to my personal channel. Most of them were short documentaries, news-style edits, or content covering current events and war. A lot of it ended up getting demonetized, age-restricted, or removed completely, usually without any clear reason or explanation. The worst part was not knowing what caused it. You upload something, it seems fine for a while, and then it disappears or gets buried. I spent days editing videos that ended up dead in the water because of things I couldn’t see coming.I started building a tool to help with this. Just something to check the content before uploading, to see if it might get flagged. That eventually became frametwo.frametwo scans your video and flags the kinds of things that might trigger platform filters. It looks at visuals, language, and metadata. It doesn't rewrite your content or suggest edits. It just gives you a clear report, so you can decide what to do before your content gets punished.I built the ana

Show HN: Mindfuse – A voice-only app for anonymous 1-on-1 conversationsHey HN,I built Mindfuse because I missed having real conversations online. It’s a simple concept: You press a button and get matched with someone, anonymously, for a voice-only conversation. No usernames, no profiles, no feeds. Just two people talking. The goal is to create quiet, meaningful spaces in a noisy, performative internet. It’s live on iOS now. Still early — small user base, no monetization, just people talking.Happy to answer any questions or feedback. I’d especially love to hear from anyone building in the audio/social space or interested in digital minimalism, mindful tech, or mental health. Thanks for reading.

Tiptap open-sources 10 formerly Pro extensions under MIT licenseHi HN, as of the end of June, we’re open-sourcing a bunch of extensions that used to be part of our paid tier. They’ll be available for free under the MIT license. These include things like emoji support, drag handles, invisible characters, math, file handling, and more. Full list is at the bottom. We started Tiptap a few years ago because we were frustrated by the state of rich text editors for modern apps. Most were either too limited, too rigid, or tried to solve everything with a monolithic setup. We wanted something more composable and framework-friendly, so we built it.We originally monetized by selling individual “Pro” extensions. That worked early on, but over time we realized these smaller pieces weren’t where our value was. They were common needs, but not really our moat. In the meantime we’re focusing on larger feature bundles (like collaborative editing, AI-assisted content, documents, etc) that solve complete problems and include backend infra, UI components, and integratio

Show HN: Turn your football knowledge into a challenge gameHi HN I'm Wyeth, a software engineer who recently started teaching myself mobile development after work hours. After 6 months of coding in my free time (mostly late nights and weekends), I just launched Who Is That Player | Football — a mobile app where you guess football (soccer) players based on their image and team badge. From that core mechanic, I built different game modes (by league, by country, by club), daily challenges, a global ranking system, tasks and rewards, bonus systems, and more. It’s kind of like a casual trivia game but with competitive layers for football fans. This was a 100% solo effort: design, code, assets, backend, testing. No budget, no team, just a passion project. I’d love your feedback — on UX, tech stack, monetization ideas, or just what you’d expect from a football fan app. Here you have download links:Android: https://goo.su/bDN0hbNiOS iOS: https://goo.su/dU6QwHappy to answer anything! Show HN: Bemol, a free and open-source functional ear training appA little more than a week ago, I opened my ear training app only to be presented a prompt to subscribe to "Plus" to get an ad-free experience and to unlock all the new features.I'm not against monetization per se but I got a bit frustrated by this sudden move of this particular app. It is originally a mobile adaptation of a free desktop app whose author explicitly promises, and I quote, "No ads. No banners. No spyware. No viruses. Just honest software". I find it sad that this philosophy is about to disappear in the only mobile adaptation that exists.Anyway, I channeled my frustration into building a minimalist, clean, fluff-free, open-source mobile version [1] of the original desktop app. I've been using it exclusively the last few days, it's still rough around the edges but it's usable and it works just as well.It works like this:- A I - IV - V - I cadence [2] is played to establish a key.- A random note is played.- The user has to identify the note by playing it back on the keyboard

How to get an initial user base for a consumer app with no money and no audienceNot every startup can afford to burn cash for growth. Some apps have a high enough LTV - the total amount they earn on average per user - that they can justify paid ads, influencer partnerships, or blitzing CPC channels. But if you're building something free (or freemium) where the monetization strategy only works at scale (like most consumer apps) those channels just aren't viable early on. Your CAC needs to basically be $0.So what do you do?You work your butt off.I call this method hustling up users, and here’s how it works:- Go to where your users hang out (Reddit, Discords, Twitter, forums, wherever). - Search for people actively expressing the problem you solve - take the time to find people literally expressing the exact need you service. You’re looking to provide genuine value here, not spam people, so this step is super important. - Reach out directly - something short, personalized, and most of all non-salesy that expresses your understanding of their problem. - Ask them to try
