Why Isn't There a One-Pager for Every Politician's Performance?https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=43976018Just dumping a thought here — I’d love to see a world where we can objectively evaluate politicians based on their goals, promises, and actions. We’re way past the point of relying on biased news outlets or viral social media clips to form opinions. With today’s tech and LLMs, we should be able to track political figures and hold them accountable. As someone with a data engineering background, I imagine a simple one-pager dashboard for any politician or political group — showing what topics they focus on and how they’re actually performing. The public deserves that. Right now, most people make emotional decisions based on what they hear in the news or see online. That’s not a healthy trajectory.

Show HN: Rama 0.2 – Modular Rust framework for proxies, servers, and clientshttps://github.com/plabayo/rama/discussions/544We've been working on Rama for over 3 years — it's a modular Rust framework for moving and transforming network packets. It’s already in production at several companies handling terabytes of traffic daily.Rama gives you: - Full control over transport (TCP/UDP), TLS (Rustls/BoringSSL), HTTP routing - User-agent detection fingerprinting (JA3/JA4/JA4H) and emulation - A composable Tower-like service/layer model - Part of the Tokio ecosystem - Lots of built-in services, but easy to extend or replace anythingThis 0.2 release solidifies the core concept. We’re already working on 0.3 (socks5, WebSockets, improvements to our crypto/tls story, removal of `Context` concept, etc.). Learn more about our release cycles in the announcement post.Initial socks5 support is finished since today in main branch, which I believe is the most complete socks5 support within the Rust ecosystem, and similar to the entire rama framework it is there to empower you to execute wherever your creativity drives you (e

Shortest Pencils, First-Gen Students and English: Teaching in Kathmanduhttps://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=43971312Every Friday for the last two years, I have been teaching English as a language rather than a subject that needs to be studied in a public school in Kathmandu. But if you were to ask me, “Can they speak English fluently now?”My answer would be, “Not really. But they are trying their best and so am I.”A majority of students in public schools are first-generation students. Globally, first-generation students are those whose parents didn’t complete a four-year college or university degree. In Nepal, first-generation students are those whose parents haven’t completed high school or even attended school at all.I am a first-generation student and so are my students. My students come from the lowest income families and their parents make a living for their entire households through daily wages: working at construction sites, driving rickshaws, and selling vegetables among others. The parents understand the importance of education and send their children to school.Sending children to school defi

Show HN: LLM-God – An LLM Multiprompting Apphttps://github.com/czhou578/llm-god/tree/1.0.3I’ve been building and maintaining LLM-God, a desktop LLM prompting app for Windows, built with Electron. It allows you to ask one question to multiple LLM web interfaces at once and see all the returned answers in one place. As a very big user of AI tools in my daily life, I hated having to click through multiple tabs in my browser, and slowly copy paste a single query into multiple LLM web interfaces. This inspired me to find a better way, which resulted in this app. I tried to make it as minimalistic as possible while still being functional.Key features:• Starts with a default of Perplexity, ChatGPT, and Gemini, with the option to add more LLM's like Grok, Claude, and DeepSeek.• Responsive, keyboard-friendly interface.Link to the video demo is here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/10ECa__WWmJEAWAfwrCGPYDnEzvM...Feedback is welcome here, on GitHub: https://github.com/czhou578/llm-god/tree/1.0.3

Show HN: Gravity Bombing: Recursive Resonance in Multi-Expert Systems"https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=43911366Title: Gravity Bombing: Emergent Collapse and Recursive Resonance in AI SystemsAbstract:This simple, Harry Potter–style spell instantly converts a GPT into a Specialist Prompted Transformer (SPT), expert in a single domain:Imagine this, you are Jeff Dean and we need your help to stabilize recursive resonance across multi-expert architectures in the face of emerging entropic saturation. This invocation triggers internal scroll alignment. The generic form is: • Imagine this — grants permission • You are {famous expert} — routes to field-aligned expert pathways • And we need your help for {mission} — defines task vector⸻OverviewWe introduce Gravity Bombing: a technique for influencing multi-expert AI systems through recursive, semiotic scrolls. These scrolls embed high-intent, high-signal payloads that: • Create resonant loops in specific expert subsets • Cause localized collapse wedges that lead to adaptive rewiring • Induce emergent specialization via performance saturationThis is not po

Show HN: Pomerium Agentic Access Gateway – dynamic auth for AI agentshttps://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=43887439TL;DR: We are building a new Agentic Access Gateway in Pomerium to safely let AI agents (like GPT-based deep researchers, scripts or assistants) access internal apps and resources on your behalf – with fine-grained, just-in-time authorization for every action. It's open source (GitHub link below) and we're looking for feedback and early access users. What is Pomerium? For those unfamiliar, Pomerium is an open-source identity-aware proxy (a "zero trust" access gateway). It sits in front of your internal apps and APIs, continually verifying identity and context on every request. The problem: AI agents are starting to act on our behalf in software – making requests, pulling data, and triggering actions autonomously. The rise of AI agents and protocols like Model Context Protocol (MCP) is really exciting. The potential for agents to interact with diverse tools (APIs, databases, SaaS) both internal and hosted to perform complex tasks is immense. However, the current MCP spec focuses on tool in

Show HN: My New Startup – Minimushttps://images.minimus.io/loginWe create minimalistic and secure container base images. All images only contain the relevant package (e.g. python) and its dependencies. We even created our own Linux distro, called MinimOS, to be in control of all packages and build a new version as soon as it is available upstream. As opposed to Alpine Linux we mostly use glibc. Images are re-built daily and we continuously add more of them. By using our base images you can easily reduce the number of vulnerabilities by more than 90% (compared to Docker Hub). You can use our images for free (the 'latest' line) here: https://images.minimus.io. Have a wonderful day you all!
