Email from Reddit for age verification on a deleted accounthttps://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=48743463I just had a peculiar experience with Reddit.I had an account.I downloaded my data, used a bot to replace all posts with random sentences (Reddit won't let you delete, but you can edit, so this is what you do), then deleted the account. This was a good two or three years ago.Today I received an email from Reddit telling me my account may be under-age and they will require age verification.I went to account recovery, entered the username, received an email to reset the password and lo and behold, I was back in my account.The account was marked as "permanently banned".I then deleted the account again, with all the procedural and textual paraphernalia of permanent account deletion.Reddit when they say "delete" they would seem to be misleading users, and changing only the account status.

The whole game was made by himself within a few weeks after the summer break started. His coding stack is vscode + Claude Code + Godot MCP. He has some programming background, knows some basic python/javascript, but honestly it's the AI pipeline that enabled him to achieve so much and actually finish a game (chapter 1) like this within a few weeks time. Curious to any feedback/input.

The plan is to go full-release on 7th of July.Currently, I’m trying to figure out how to make the launch more visible - market the product (even though it's FOSS).The common answer I saw was to "build in public", but as I, and many of us, don't have any sort of following online - that won't have as big of an effect. Still, useful advice.Since the final release of the product is less than a week from now, I decided to focus a lot more on the marketing aspect.I allocated a budget of 550$ which I will spend on the release. - 150$ of that will go into deploying bootstrap, relay and STUN/TURN servers around the world so that you can use the app without setting up your own infrastructure - path of least friction for users who just want to try the app out.I'm left with 400$ which are going straight to getting the word out. The agent is a wrapper composed of a handful of smaller programs, which should allow for flexibly injecting various tool to inspect, filter, redirect, and audit different stages of the agent loop.This project as it stands is a proof-of-concept, but packs enough punch with tool calling support - which in theory should make it indefinitely extensible.
