In his company, these are usually done in Bluebeam.It's really hard to see the diff + keep track of all the revisions resulted by these iterations. They end up storing files like "rev3_final_redlined.pdf". We've been looking for something close to Github to do these reviews, but haven't found one easy enough for folks with no CLI experience to understand and use (happy to check out more tools if you know any).So I built withkord.com to help with revisioning and diffing binary files. I wanted a simpler way. Ideally, just to look at a widget on my iPhone. There are some apps, but the design and implementation made me think here's a gap that I can potentially fill it with a new polished product. So I've built this app.It took me several months to start beta testing. But then I got feedback from users that they don't really want to share their App Store key credentials with a third-party app that uses a backend and collects data. So, I spent one more month pivoting to a private app by dropping a backend and storing credentials on a user's device in a keychain. So, now the app directly talks to Apple's API and there's no account registration. You add a team key - the app fetches data. App also uses background tasks to fetch most recent data so you don't need to open it every day to keep the data fresh. I was using lowfruits to look for good SEO keywords, I wanted to make a simple free tool to rank with SEO. I found some great keywords related to graphs/charts. I did research for optimizing for SEO. Turns out edge processing / using static HTML is super fast and lightweight, great for SEO. I made freepiechartmaker.com. I was really blown away by how fast the site was loading, and how lightweight all the processing was. The site renders changes on the fly, and is much much faster than other sites in the space. I started looking into the tech, pure math rendering, and I saw a lot of openings for what this tech can do. That's how SlickFast was made.SlickFast is a JSON input > pure javascript SVG Native render core > with PNG+SVG output. No headless chrome. Feed it an integer, get an unpredictable code back; same key reverses it. Runs ~16x faster than a structurally identical Feistel using HMAC-SHA256, because the round function is integer ops instead of a hash call.The round count (4) isn't a guess — it's calibrated by measuring strict avalanche. I'm also upfront in the README about what it is NOT: not encryption, not a MAC, not audited. Building something similar would have been hopeless, so I made the things those apps don't have my selling point.Optional features beyond the basics are offered as one-time purchases. Most apps in this space use subscriptions, but I didn't want to. Subscriptions make revenue easier, but they're a mechanism that keeps manufacturing reasons not to cancel, and features keep piling up as a result. The sensor is a semi-hollow 100mm cylinder, 60mm diameter, with a 50mm diameter 50mm deep tube cutout for the sleeve. (It's a bit more complex than that.)I'm trying to brainstorm different clamping mechanisms, and evaluate durability and manufacturability of several designs.No matter what I try, the output of all LLMs is absolutely wild, especially if you ask to make a technical drawing. Anthropic reliably been the worst, and Gemini, surprisingly, the best.But none understand what goes where in any detail, besides spewing paragraph and paragraph of wild ideas including rotational cam clamps over a recessed ring TPU collet (apparently, a "brilliant pivot") and stuff like this.Is this the "unconquered frontier"?
