Without switching apps.The problem: you copied the log and need to paste it into the issue, but it contains sensitive info (emails, IPs, usernames in paths, etc.). So you need to remove all of these from the log before publishing. It’s probably a couple of regexes.Another problem: you want to paste Rust code into Discord chat. So you have to wrap it in ```rust to have it formatted and highlighted properly.One more: you want to paste a large fragment of text (or code) from the clipboard into an email. As a file. Probably you will: create a new file, paste into it, save the file and then attach it to the email. And then probably you will want to remove this temp file.What about pasting an image from the clipboard as a data URL, pasting CSV as a table into Markdown, pasting JSON as a .env file?I built Zmina to resolve these (and other) problems.

Ask HN: What's the endgame of the AI comments buried in every post?https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=49362305A lot of submissions nowadays have a few LLM comments (whether directly written by an agent, or human with a LLM I don't know), often downvoted and sitting at the end of the comment section. No-one even bothers to call them out anymore, it's just part of the landscape. Just wondering why ? What's the point for these people ?

As part of our ongoing work on BrowserPod, an in-browser WebAssembly sandbox, we have significantly expanded what the Rust WebAssembly target can achieve.Our approach proved so robust that we could get the whole Codex CLI (~1.25M lines of Rust, excluding dependencies) to run in the browser, with extremely minimal modifications.Now, Codex CLI by itself could not do much, but BrowserPod provides a full environment with standard Linux command line tools, bash, git, Node.js and Python, with more yet to come. I started this cause moving Python or ML projects between machines is often painful. You need the right Python version, libraries, native builds, model files, and so on. So instead of making someone rebuild a Python environment on their machine, Scrollcase packages everything once, including Python, locked dependencies, code, and model files.Then they can verify it, unpack it, and run it. No Python install, no pip install, no Docker, and no dependency to mantain. You just define what goes inside, lock the dependencies, and build a portable, self-contained, verifiable package that's ready to run.Would love feedback from people who had to package Python, ML, or scientific environments for machines they don't control.
