I wanted a native canvas where you design state-driven behavior (Hover, Press, Focus) on a live DOM, and it exports clean, zero-dependency Vanilla CSS, React, or Web Animations API. It’s entirely browser-based. I'm pretty sure I'm not alone in feeling this way, so I made Rudder as a first earnest shot at trying to fix this problem.Nowadays with AI coding agents, unit tests are pretty much dead code--your agent may write them because it has to hit coverage, but it is basically meaningless because it's just checking against its own implementation. So, I figured I would repurpose unit tests back to their actual core purpose: making sure that your code does what you want it to do.Rudder is a local Codex/Claude Code plugin that captures your coding session history and forces your agent to rewrite unit tests exclusively from the intent expressed in your prompts, turning your unit test coverage into a proxy for what percent of the code actually comes from decisions you've made talking to your agent. I could sit and watch hours of recordings to work out how their day went and whether anything looks off, but that's too time consuming. What I actually wanted to know were concrete things: did they eat, did they drink, did the cat use the litter box, are they sleeping more than usual.So pet-report sits on top of Frigate, which I already run for the cameras. Twice a day it sends the new clips to a vision model (I run Qwen3.6-35B-A3B on an RTX 5090) on my own server and writes up the day, with every line linking back to the footage behind it so you can check it yourself.
