Show HN: I built a Claude Code plugin to query 10.6M earnings-call embeddingshttps://fn2.ai/claudeHi HN,I've been using LLMs for one-off market questions against a database of earnings transcripts since ~2025. In tech years that's a long time so as a Solo dev I built a platform around it and have been adding miscellaneous other financial tools and integrations. Backend infrastructure is super boring! PostgreSQL & ElasticSearch, with the data appropriately sharded and replicated across two regions. Some example requests:"What did NVIDIA say about data-center demand on its last call?""Brief me on NVDA, AMD and AVGO before each market open""Notify me when AAPL moves more than 5% in a day."The plugin is dependency-free Python and MIT licensed. The corpus, vector search and scheduled-agent service are hosted, so using them requires a free FN2 account. I’m particularly interested in whether people find the scheduled-research part useful, but the basic features are free with integrations for Claude Code, Hermes Agent, OpenClaw, etc. Thanks!

Show HN: Lark, OSS realtime database, drop-in compatible with Firebase SDKshttps://github.com/lark-sh/larkHey everyone,In early 2026, I started working on Lark, with the goal of creating a realtime database with the same fundamental premise of Firebase RTDB: syncing a JSON tree with persistence to thousands of concurrent users. Today, Lark is releasing as open-source software under an AGPLv3 license.I've been building on Firebase RTDB since the earliest days, and I still think it's one of the most magical ways to build realtime apps for the web and mobile. However, I've always been bothered by the fact that it's building on top of a closed ecosystem. Lark brings the magic of Firebase RTDB to you with the freedom to run it on your own infrastructure.Lark is unique in that it is fully drop-in compatible with the existing Firebase client SDKs. That means you can change a few config vars in your project, move your data to Lark, and you're good to go. In addition, you can continue using other parts of Firebase, like Auth[1], Analytics, and Hosting. This makes it very easy to migrate an existing

Show HN: I built a life planner that has only "one page"https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=49282537I spent 5 years working a f*cking to-do app and being a loser. Here's what I learnt.Life planners don't work if they're too simple (e.g. Apple Notes for everything). They also don't work if they're too complicated (e.g. Notion templates). They must be adequate, such as having basic fucking hierarchy where you can have tasks and sub-tasks. They must also be centralized, because reminders don't fucking work if I can't see them because they're hidden in 5 different places. The resultant version is https://beta.actions.life. It's free forever for early beta users, and you can try it without going through some bullshit sign-up flow.I hope you can tell me what's good and what's shit about the app, so I can make it better for you. Thanks.

Show HN: Sleezr – Manage your hosts file without opening a terminalhttps://www.sleezr.com/enI kept juggling sudo, comment blocks, and hidden typos in /etc/hosts every time I moved between local, staging, and client projects so I built Sleezr. It's a native desktop app for Windows, macOS, and Linux that lets you: - Create a named environment per project and apply it in a few seconds - Flush DNS with one click (runs the correct command per OS) - Auto-backup before every apply, so you can restore your hosts file if something breaks - Handle large hosts files (1000+ entries) with instant search and IP validationIt's a one-time purchase (4.99 €) with lifetime updates no subscription. There's a 3-day free trial (no credit card) and an interactive demo on the site.Happy to answer questions about the approach, the DNS-flush handling across platforms, or the Team setup.

Launch HN: Keet (YC S24) – An app to create video courses on anythinghttps://www.trykeet.com/Hi HN! We’re Zack and Tommy the Co-Founders of Keet (https://trykeet.com). We are building a mobile app that generates courses on any topic, with short videos for explanation and games for reinforcement. Courses mirror a real curriculum to help you learn over an extended period of time.Tommy and I met in linear algebra class in college and spent the next 4 years taking classes together. Our friendship was formed around learning new things. In school, someone else designs the curriculum, delivers the content, and writes the assessments. All you have to do is show up. Learning without this structure was frustrating, and there was a lot of friction to get started.Zack has a coffee obsession and struggled to assemble youtube videos, conversations with ChatGPT, and the books he was reading into a coherent understanding of all of the different variables that go into brewing a cup of coffee. His attempts gave him the freedom to follow his curiosity, but the instructional design was difficult.

Show HN: SlickFast Deterministic Chart/Dash Renderer, No Browser(JSON → SVG/PNG)https://slickfast.com/SlickFast started 6 months ago, and evolved in a super backwards way. I was using lowfruits to look for good SEO keywords, I wanted to make a simple free tool to rank with SEO. I found some great keywords related to graphs/charts. I did research for optimizing for SEO. Turns out edge processing / using static HTML is super fast and lightweight, great for SEO. I made freepiechartmaker.com. I was really blown away by how fast the site was loading, and how lightweight all the processing was. The site renders changes on the fly, and is much much faster than other sites in the space. I started looking into the tech, pure math rendering, and I saw a lot of openings for what this tech can do. That's how SlickFast was made.SlickFast is a JSON input > pure javascript SVG Native render core > with PNG+SVG output. No headless chrome. No library calls. deterministic output. on my local machine(m1 max) it renders 140,000 svg charts a second. PNG @ ~50/sec at retina (scale-2) and ~145/sec at scale-1
