Show HN: I've been working on an app to help immigrantsHi all, I'm a Brazilian which has moved to Ireland in 2015 to study English. Back then I knew little about the country, only things I saw on the TV\Youtube\Wikipedia, and I didn't know the IT market was booming here and, surprise, that's my expertise. When I've discovered that, I've joined a community called IT in Dublin, which is an "open source" Brazilian group dedicated to helping each other to understand visas, regulations, how to improve your CVs, etc. This group helped me a lot and, after 8 months, I got a job and then I could give back to the group, helping others to follow the same path. From 2015 till now a lot of information was improved, but we still receive a lot of requests/questions from the group about the information we already have explained and provided links for anyone to have access to any information we gathered. Still, many newcomers complain that information was misleading or not useful anymore, which makes me start to think of a way to help more.In 2019, I was st

My Tastemaker service helps you to discover new music every dayI love the Spotify recommendations, but they mostly recommend me the same music I am already listening to. Because of this I did build [Tastemaker](https://tastemaker.cc) a web service that analyses your Spotify taste and recommends music you would normally not listen to.At the moment there are three available playlists you can subscribe to which are then recalculated every night (4 am - CET, sorry Americans for you it is in the late evening):* [Newcomers](https://tastemaker.cc/newcomers) Analyses your taste and recommends you unknown musicians. I did find quite some new german Indie artists with less than 100 listeners per month with it* [ProducerPower](https://tastemaker.cc/producerpower) Finds out the producers of your favorite songs and recommends you other songs they worked on. The producers form the sound quite a lot of a song* [Tastebreaker](https://tastemaker.cc/tastebreaker) Checks your taste and recommends you songs from genres you normally don't listen to This playlists show

Offer HN: Design, Prototyping, and Manufacturing of Physical Products GuideI’ve only been active for about a month, but lurked for awhile. While my transition from physical products to digital has encountered a few difficulties the information here has been invaluable. With experience designing, prototyping, and manufacturing physical products I wanted to provide a guide for people that are going in the opposite direction. Saw a few questions on the subject so here’s a summary of what I use.Best Cheap Design Package: Ailbre Design (as low as $50) http://www.alibre.com/ I used this before Solidworks, if the design isn’t extremely complicated this is the software to use. Make sure to find a coupon, they offer 50% off about every other month. There are 3 different price points depending on what you are doing. Very active community that helps newcomers learn.Enclosure Prototyping in the US: http://www.protomold.com/ or http://www.quickparts.com/ I tend to use Quickparts more, but Protomold is also very good. All you do is upload the design and they price it. Also
